I was visiting friends in North Van and I'd have to say this place falls into the catagory of a good, maybe great, neighborhood bar. It is what it is, it doesn't seem to aspire to do much more than service the local patron's need for a place to hang out and have some comraderie. It was clear to me and my boys that many of the people in the place knew one another. That may have influenced my opinion of the place, because althought the soup was good and the beer was adequate it was the lively crowd and the great fun that made this pub fun for me.

Good So So Good So So Good
A decent place in North Van to have a beer and some food.Serivice is hit and miss in this place with no middle ground.Great or poor.The draft beer selection could be expanded. I visit this pub on an occasional basis. It's one of North Van's best. Overall: 6.5 out of 10

recently drydocked on a ship in north van, spent every night in the gull! it was just fantastic!!
