Before this one, I had been to 3 other Rock Bottoms and thought the name described the beer. This one was a pleasant surprise. The IPA actually had some hop to it. At least they have one good brewer. Food is always good at these places.

The Beer is always good. (Its a chain so they have the process down well.) They have the same 6 beers all the time and then rotate in seasonal and special beers. The food is very hit or miss. The menu is extensive, but many dishes not very good.

The Brew Moon in Braintree is closed. It was bought out and remade into Rock Bottom Brewery.

It was a cold and rainy night... True statement. The brewpub is in a shopping center across from the Sheraton Hotel in Braintree. An eclectic sort of place, the beer was tasty and fresh. The IPA was excellent, as was a porter. The food was very good. Definitely worth a stop! I don't know how this compares to the other Brew Moon pubs, but if they are similar, they're winners all.

This, my second visit to this brewpub, was as enjoyable as the first. The seasonal brew, "Dark Side of the Moon," was supurb!!! A dark, yet smooth, crispy and somewhat "lite" tasting beer was very good. Worth a try - hurry before they run out. Again, the food selection, variety, quality and taste are excellent!

The brew is pretty decent, the food is even better than I expected. Try the portabello appetizer. It goes down nicely with the Munich Gold lager!!

I agree with the previous review - the facility is a bit "high tech" though the brew is pretty good. The Munich Gold is worth trying; a smooth, full body brew without the bitter after taste. The Braintree Blonde is a very light (almost too light) ale with a smooth finish. The Mayberry Wheat wasn't too bad. The food menu selection and food presentation are pretty good for a brewpub. Definitely worth visiting while in Braintree (or other location throughout the Boston metro area).

High tech glitter, but the beer is average. Some are better than others. I would stop by again if it was on my way, but I would not make a special trip.
