They had a handfull of regulars and I think 3 seasonal. I enjoyed the 2 IPA's and the Belgian Dubbel a little less. There were several others that also sounded good.
Burgers and Pizza were good.

I have to say that I was pleasantly suprised with the Big Bear. Not sure why but the bar I set for Micro Brews in Florida is set quite low. This place did suprise me though. Great pizza, pretty good beer, and a nice staff. I'll be going back next time I'm in the area. Both of the the previous reviewers were off I'd say. Despite Gary's rave reviews for the pale I'd have to say that it may compare great locally but I wouldn't put it on my top 10 list. And the guy before him compaired it to a chain restaurant, I'd say that's unfair, it's appearance is on par with other breweries that I have visited across the country.

Whoa, whoa...where were you guy?
The beers at the Bear are the best and the Hybrination Pale Ale cannot be beat! From Maine to Oregon, down to California and back home to Florida, I have searched for a better pale ale...draft or bottled-The Bear beats them all!
AND-the service is great, especially Kelley....
BUT-Please, put the kiddies someplace else, this is my favorite place for a relaxing draft and the ever increasing number of little sereemers in the bar area is out of control!

If you like chain food and beer, this is your place. While it's not a chain restaurant, it acts like it, and you get the feeling that the owners want to franchise the place.
I was once a member of the Big Bear mug club, but I never found a reason to continue that relationship. The beer is flat and flavorless. The best on tap is probably the brown, but it is nothing exceptional. Don't dare request hops in this place.
The food is good, not great. Big Bear caters to a clientelle that cares more about wine than beer, and it shows. Head down the road to the ale house or wing place, where at least you'll get a Whitbread than something that tastes like it was brewed by a novice.

Some of the reviews of the Big Bear defy belief. “Best brew pub in America,” “awesome beer,” “beer survived at the proper temperature” – wow! You people need to get out more. This place may not be a chain (I don’t know), but it looks like a chain and shares the usual traits - the food is good, the beer is not. Also, the beer is served much, much too cold; we ordered a second as soon as we were served so that it could warm up to the proper temperature. On another note, this is the darkest restaurant I’ve ever been in. Perhaps, they should use the money saved on electricity to buy some hops. Last, and perhaps worst, they had the TV turned to Fox “News.” One positive (sort of), they apparently have cask IPA sometimes.

My partner and I go all of the time. When we are not sure where to go, Big Bear is always on our mind. The food is awesome, the service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is great for a great meal with family and friends. I am a personal sucker for their homemade Root Beer. If you have never been, I highly recommend going.

For a big place in a trendy area, this place was surprisingly good and the beer was superb. Food didn't dissapoint either and both our meals were great and we didn't get hassled too much, it was nice and quiet too.

Been there over ten times! Very good food and service.
The beers are served in the appropiate pilsners or pint mugs and at the appropiate temperatures. They are all delicious! The best Rootbeer (house brewed) in South Florida without question.
Outstanding beer / cheese soup served in a bread bowl!! Great salads, good steaks and burgers, ribs, and excellent spinach dip appetizer too.
Tip: Frequently they produce some seasonal / mgr special brews not shown on menu. Alright. Stop salivating.....

The beer is good, the food is not. I went twice thinking that perhaps it was just the food we ordered on the first trip that was bad. The second trip rewarded us with even worse food and horible service, possibly the worst service I have received anywhere.
They do serve a cola called Classy Cola and Diet Classy Cola, both are excellent and it is difficult to tell the two apart. They have much more of a cola nut flavor than mass produced colas.
The stout was excellent.

I don't know what the last guy was talking about at all. I love beer but my wife doesn't. Here's a place where the food is so good she asks if we can go there! Try the Pretzel Encrusted Chicken or one of their wood oven pizzas!! And if you're a beer lover and love IPA's, you have to try the Hibernation Ale, it's fantastic!

As A certified Brewmaster, in layman's terms, the beer was lacking. Drinkable? Yes.(check for bacteria, boys.) The food was good. Seared tuna....AWESOME! The staff was a little snobish but on time.(Clean those lines. Yeast was out of control.)

I am a frequent customer of Big Bear. I have yet to have any serious problems there. I always feel welcomed by the staff, they have so much teamwork! My favorite server is Stevette, great personality and very professional, not to mention pretty! She always helps my friends and family decide what to order. It's nice to see someone take pride in their work. Good job Stevette, it's people like you that make Big Bear great!

I have been to hundreds of breweries and this is the best. The food is great and the beers (belgian ale) stand out. We came here after a wedding(G-Man & The Henster) and everything was perfect. Freddy had a little to many stouts and fell over- Oh Well- all in good fun!

Larry (my waiter) did a much-better-than-usual job of telling me about the beers and relating the styles to commercial examples. My pizza was excellent and, even though the place was full, I had to ask that it be delayed so it didn't interfere with my sampler (8 beers plus their root beer).
The Canadian Pilsner was a clear, clean beer with good hop (American Saaz?) flavor and balance. The Polar Light had more malt flavor than usual in such a light beer (although not to my taste). I thought that the Honey Raspberry Light didn't work very well: the honey and the raspberry got in each other's way. I think that their Grizzly Red Ale, with it's rich, complex malt flavor and nicely balancing hops may be a better (American) brown ale than the Brown Bear Ale (which I found to be far too strongly chocolate flavored). The Hibernation Pale Ale is definitely an American pale with plenty of citrus-y American hops to balance a good malt flavor. The bad news is their Belgian ales. Both the Kodiac (sic) Belgian Dubbel (too dry) and the Spiced Abbey Ale lacked the expected sourness. Without a program, I would not have identified them as Belgian ales. Great root beer - I was even tempted to have that with my dinner.

SUPER BREW, and great food! Don't pass this one up, if your in the area. Try the Belgian Dubble - you won't be dissapointed!! Exceptional APA, but you gotta' like the plentiful, fresh, superb Cascade hops. Also, try the Belgian Wit. It will definately satisfy the summer pallate. Don't miss this "diamond in the ruff". It's definatly the best of Coral Springs!!

One of the best belgian dubbels I have had outside of Belgium. It as well as all of the seasonal beers and the brown ale truly stood out. Surprisingly the beers are assertive for a family oriented town and resataurant. Please keep making belgian dubbels, saisons etc- they are great!

Several good beers and a couple of exceptional ones. Loved the APA and Hefewiezen. The specialty beer was a very unique and flavorful Saison, something that I did not expect to see in a Florida brewpub. Good food and service. A very nice brewpub.

Big Bear makes decent beer but nothing like a top brewpub. Stout is drinkable but way too light for a stout. The big problem I had with this place was the food. I ordered the chicken pot pie and got food poisioning- I literally was up the entire night vomitting and I'm not exagerrating. Since the beer is only average at best, I would try Brewzii's in Boca instead who doesn't make better beer, but the food is something you can order without worrying.

Great selection of beers I like the Pale Ale. Try the Tuna Tips for a starter. Good location and great beer prices.

With so few brewpubs in the south Florida area, Big Bear is my salvation. Their Hibernation Pale Ale is my favorite with a great hop character. In a land of Budweiser and weak beers, Big Bear is a must for anyone who is looking for a real beer in south Florida. Their food is delicious and the bartenders are the friendliest in Coral Springs.

I must say the Sunday's Brewers Brunch is awesome. The beer is very good, with a varied selection. I have been told that there is a new brewer at the establishment and have noticed a definite improvement in the beers. I will definitely be a regular!

The stout is very watered down and isn't worth ordering for the true stout lover. The employees knew virtually nothing about beer.Brewzzi's in Boca Raton is a much better brewpub to stop into if you're in the South Florida area.

Six brews on tap with two "brewer's specials" are fabulous! This is one of the best brewpubs I've been to (and I've been to many). The food was also great! Variety of offerings and excellent preparations. The service could use a little improvement - though, not too bad. I highly recommend stopping by this brewpub to sample some of the fine crafted, flavorful beers.

Very good selection of brews. The stout was very good and similar to a Murphys. The night I was there, an IPA was featured as a specialty brew - it was very good. English Pub type atmosphere was much better than the average brew pub - good food too.

Opened within the past year with a very good selection of beers and food. Seven beers available at the time of my visit ranging from a light to a stout. You're sure to find one you like.
