This is my second review, I am a local and CJ's has stood the test of time. I enjoy the place, food, beer and people. It is first and foremost a neighborhood establishment and fills the niche well. The food is consistent, the serving staff friendly and the beer improves with the experience of the brewery staff. All in all I feel very comfortable suggesting it as a meeting place for friends and family.

Nice place if you are in the area. Beers were all drinkable and had merit. The IPA was a clear favorite with a pleasant bitterness, liberal hopping and a nice malt backdrop to complete the picture. All of the beers lacked any head (and good head is part of the package, right?). The bartender was great and helpful but the managment needs some lessons in cordial service.

My wife enjoyed the fact that they had 2 wheats, one a raspberry which she really enjoyed. The American wheat was so-so. The IPA was good, nothing outstanding in my opinion. The food was good and well priced.

Very crowded on weekends. The beer was okay but I found nothing outstanding.

We go to CJ's quite often. Beer is good - Red is very consistant, the IPA varies - although it's always strong. Food is simple, with huge portions. Atmosphere generally good, sometimes quiet later in evening.

Have been to CJ's a couple of times. Beer is decent. I liked the Independence Ale. Food was good, not outstanding.

I live close to the brewery and frequent the establishment. Their beers are always fresh (actually that is the only fault I have ever found with the beer, once or twice it has been a little green) and the specialties vary. I like a brewpub that experiments a bit instead of just trying to make something with mass appeal. My wife and friends enjoy the atmosphere and the food is good, try the beer-onion soup !

The Oktoberfest was great and went fast. They do growlers now, noticed quite a few going out the door. Only second visit, but I'd go back. Waitstaff still a little slow and uninformed.

I live very near C.J.s and have gone there about six times since opening. Their beer has gotten much better as time goes on. The IPA has gotten stonger. The wheat has become quite a bit thicker and richer. And the stout has gotten fuller also. I always enjoyed the food so far.

CJ's has only been opened a short time and the service showed it. Not the most informed staff about beer. We asked for a Porter and the waitress didn't know what it was. They do not have and do not refill growlers. The beer (a red) was good and I was going to get a growler full. When I brought my growler in the bartender told me "we don't do that here". I was very much amazed!
