Granted the place does not purport to be beer heaven. Bar keep wouldn't or couldn't draw a pitcher of half & half. I settled for Yuengling Black & Tan (which is always very good). Nevertheless, when judged as a place in S. Jersey to take a group of people to have a good time, Mario's can't be beat. Cavernous eating area is lively (grumpy types call it noisy). Food is plentify, inexpensive, and imaginatively prepared. Waiter was well above-average for a family style restaurant paying careful attention to our individual requests. Bar keep should get a beer refresher course.

Boy, has this place come down with a large thud! A once friendly staff has deteriated to one that seems to want to be somewhere else, bar customers seem to be down to a few gritty regulars who have no better place to go and resturant customers are down to only the families who don't mind a noisy, cheap place. Food is an after-thought lately. In an area that is not filled with many good bars Mario's has missed the boat.

Quality of beer is out-of-sight, best tasting Yuengling's Black & Tan I've ever had (it just might be the free peanuts that bring out the taste). Big 22 Ouncers available. They are not Microbrew friendly but have a decent selection of quality beers to go with the usual Bud/Miller/Coors on tap. Bar food tasty and reasonably priced. The young ladies who tend bar are as nice to chat with as they are to look at!!!
