This is an Irish theme pub not a beer bar. Actually, it is a small dive. They do have Guiness, and lots of Guiness posters on the wall, but that's about it. There are lots of other Irish style pubs nearby but they do not rate entry in Pubcrawler either because they are not beer bars.

Good Lousy N/A So So Lousy
One good but common and standard beer does not make a beer bar. They server Guiness, Harp, a couple of other imports, one microbrew and Coors. It is a small bar, one of half a dozen "Irish Pubs" within two blocks. The Guiness was fine but no different than a hundred other bars in New Orleans alone. This database is not for Irish Pubs, but there is one called O'Flaherty's nearby which has a dozen beers on tap and a fair number bottled, and is more of a center for Irish music locally.

The other reviewers are correct. It is a Magnificent pint of guiness served at this bar. There are other bars in N.O. with 100+ beers, there are other bars serving guiness, but none equal the quality of the guiness at the Kerry. It is consistently first class. A nice oasis when the boors of bourbon street start to drive you mad. Each time I have been there the music has been rather uninspired however.

The Kerry is a fun place to go in New Orleans for a fresh pint of Guinness and some interesting music. This is a welcome retreat at times from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter on some nights.

A small selection of beers on tap, but one of them is Guinness. Not just any Guinness. My FAVORITE pint out of all the places I've drank Guinness. Definitely the best in New Orleans. Perhaps one of the finest anywhere.

Staff is friendly, music is great. A must visit.
