A great bar!!! I was there before and after the Syracuse-Pitt basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 24. I had a monster chicken caesar salad and several Labatt Blue drafts. Great sound system with good tunes. I even met a few people from my hometown of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., there!!!

Dave's comment of "nothing is in any way interesting or special" - hello? have you looked at the list of beers on the 2 boards in front of the bar? Have you seen all the interesting taps? Looks pretty special to me. And they do have great food. Try it sometime. Great place, probably one of the best beer bars in Syracuse.

We stopped in at Faegan’s before the Syracuse vs Harlem Globetrotters game. Gotta agree with Dave. Nothing interesting or special here. We were forced to choose from among the following uninteresting beers on tap: Anchor Steam, Blue Moon, Boddington,Brooklyn Lager, Brooklyn Weisse, Chimay Triple, Dogfish India Brown, Ellicotville Pale Ale, Faegan’s Brew by Middle Ages, Flying Dog, Harpoon IPA, Hoegaarden, Lindemanns’ Framboise, Otter Creek Octoberfest, Newcastle Brown, Abita Purple Haze, Red Hook Octoberfest, Sackets Harbor Funny Cide, Saranac Amber Ale, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Ithaca Apricot Wheat, Southern Tier IPA, Stella Artois, Red Hook ESB, Lake Placid UBU, Victory Hop Devil, Yuengling Lager, Young’s Oatmeal Stout, Sam Adams Lager, Sam Adams Apricot Wheat. Damn, no bud, coors or miller on tap. Guess we better go downtown.

Not bad, but Darwin's is a much better place to hange out and, and also provides much better food. The beer selection is VERY good, but the food blah and the atmosphere not nearly as fun as Darwins.

A question for Dave. You say we should drink downtown. Where? You hated every downtown bar.

The right review for this place would be a shrug. Nothing here is terribly offensive, but nothing is in any way interesting or special. If you are desparate for beer and you're at the university, this is where you go, but you're not constrained geographically, you should be doing your beer drinking downtown.

The ber selection is very diverse. They have everything from Victory Prima to Labatt Blue, and everything in between. I have never had a problem with the service and is a great bar on a Friday Happy Hour...the bartenders are usually very good.

Great selection of beers. The only "grown up" bar near campus, but will still be very college aged during the semesters. Wednesday night Beer Tour is a cool idea, but its so crowded it can be annoying.

This is the place to hang before Cuse sporting events in the Dome. Get there early. One hour before game time Faegan's is packed. They have an excellent tap selection, including several microbrews. Their house brew, "Faegan's Ale", is made by Middle Ages in Syracuse. Great choice. Beer geeks will not be disappointed. The service is excellent, even during their busiest times. Food is variable. My "medium-rare" burger came well done and dry. The Buffalo Board appetizer, chicken strips with a spicy dipping sauce, was fine. All in all, this sure beats the warm overpriced Bud and cold soggy food in the Dome.

With football and basketball season in progress/or soon-to-be on the agenda, this is a great place to camp out several hours before a game. Get a good parking place, enjoy some wonderful beers (what a selection, although we wish they carried Middle Ages beers - after all, it is a local brewery, so why not support your own?), have some great appetizers and/or meals, meet terrific people (especially fun when my team (Miami of Ohio) or my son's team (Seton Hall) are in town), talk to friendly and informative bartenders and other staff members. This is really a wonderful bar in the SU area. Keep up the good work.

Nice beer selection and good prices. Pleasantly surprised by the size of the taster I was given of a Belgium beer. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Even though the server was very busy, we never felt ignored. Good location and nice atmosphere.

A fine beer bar. After a few visits, it seemed that many beers tasted better here than other places. We discussed this with the manager who told us that they pay particular attention to maintenance of their taps. The effort pays off. The food is good and service is competent.
