I used to go here all the time with friends because there are great prices for college students who want to have a nice sit-down meal for less than a 5-star restraunt. However, after a TERRIBLE experience with a new waitress who thought throwing our food at us and then cursing during her appology was appropriate, I doubt I'd ever go there again. She screwed up our orders, cursed and bitched at us. Worst service I've ever had.

Doc Powell's is always a must stop before the maple leaf parade during oktoberfest. The beer selection and quality is not only outstanding but the menu and food quality is unmatched.

Maybe its the building. The name of the previous brewpub here escapes me, but it was horrible. This is not much better. Stopped in for lunch. Menu looks good, so maybe try that and definitely skip the buffet. I had a red and pale ale, neither had much to ffer. Wife had a wheat beer that barely distinguishable as wheat beer or even beer, really.

Six beers on tap including a guest tap of Capitol Amber. The stout was drinkable - Hal liked the amber. For beer go to the Bodega.

The beers were kind of like the beers from Miller and Anheuser Busch - they didn't really taste bad, and were drinkable, but there wasn't much to 'em either.

Very weak contract brews, boring place. Looking for good beer in Lacrosse? If you go anywhere other than the Bodega, you are a moron.

Their feature beer was an Octoberfest. Flat with very little taste, unusual for an Octoberfest. My companion had a Stout that was bitter. We confirmed they contract out their brewing to some company in Sioux Falls, SD. That might explain the poor quality since it must be shipped from SD.

We had hors d'oeuvres with our beer. Nice atmosphere. Was disappointed they didn't brew their beer on site. Good experience.

Nice atmosphere, five brews standard...blonde, american pale, red, wheat and a dry stout. Also have seasonals...an oktoberfest and raspberry vanilla cream last night. Good brews. The wheat and the stout were great. Really good food, a little pricey, tho...cigar bar in one end of the place, couldn't smell it in the none smoking area, tho. Menu is pretty heavy on the sausages...brats and kielbasa and the like.
