Great place to visit if you like to be totally ignored by the bartender, even when there are only 4 other customers at the bar. The bartender must have walked past me and my empty pint glass a dozen times without making eye contact. Then, act totally offended by having to yell across the bar to get his attention.
Tip to all establishments: If you can't treat your customers properly, there are other places who will.

The food was delicious- that is definitely this bar's selling point. But the music was horrendously loud, there were NO happy hour specials, and I come to find out that the waitress took two more dollars for her tip than I allotted. Definitely not worth the trip.

Open on Christmas Eve! One of the few eateries available near Gallery Place that is. Nicely shabby atmosphere. Good food. We had the boxties, but the Irish Breakfast was tempting. About 8-10 beers on tap, including Boddington's and Newcastle. Not very expensive, either.

I've always found it quite amusing when people knock a place like Fado for not "really" being an Irish pub. I've been to literally hundreds of pubs in Ireland, from Kerry to Antrim and back again, and guess what? Fado isn't quite up to snuff with a "real" Irish pub, but it isn't miles away either. So what? I'm I suppose to jump on Air Lingus and fly to Dublin when I want a good jar?

This is a fabulous place! It was the perfect, warm, homey, Irish Pub that was required to soothe the weary soul on a cold, rainy Sunday in D.C.
The Boxty selection was intriguing, my wife and I selected two, which were served piping hot, and they were very tasty.
I cannot review the beer selection, as I came in solely for a Guinness or two and thoroughly enjoyed two of the absolutely best poured (on this side of the pond) 20 ouncers ever. The creamy head was almost like meringue.
A truly enjoyable place to visit.

A yuppie wanna-be Irish pub. The real thing is up the street on Capitol Hill across the street from Union Station - the Dubliner. Go there instead, if you're looking for authenticity.

Despite my rankings, I like this place - very good food, decent beers, plus they have Cafrey's!! I like the atmosphere, but it is kind of dead. The one in Atlanta is great though, check it out.

Irish Pub? This place is what you get when you cross an Irish pub w/ TGI Fridays.

Great looking Irish place, but somehow lacked something. Six beers on tap - the usual suspects (Guiness, Bass, a cider), plus Boddington's (fast becoming a regular) and Foggy Bottom Ale. The Guiness was not great. Service was slow and the prices a bit high. The place is nice - come in for a look, then get out before drinking anything.
