Needed a lunch/rest stop/place to watch the US Open on a recent trip, so I tried My Place. 5 taps. 25-30 bottles, nothing outrageous, but a good repreentation of styles. Kinda weird layout; bar is tucked in a corner as you enter, not big, but comfortable. Waitress was kind to let me hang out by the tube and she came and went as needed. Hooker IPA very malty but tasty. Cajun chicken salad huge and delicious. For me, a good visit.

My Place is a breath of fresh air for beer lovers. Not only that, the pizza is to die for. Without even giving it a second though, if you are driving by exit 10 off I84 in Connecticut, this is a must stop for beer and food lovers and the entire family.

My Place is THE place to go if you love beer. Over 100 beers to choose from, with over 15 of them being from Belguim. They usally have a British CAMBRA award winning cask conditioned ale ale on tap, and they also always have a Lambic on tap as well (last time it was the Peche). Something else that they offer is "The Brewmasters Course" the 1st tuseday of every month. For $20 you are able to taste 10-15 beers of a style of beer, with some background on the history and the brewing process involved. Oh yeah they bring out some food too. The class comming up in October has me psyched. The style will be October Fest beers and German Alts!! I have always wanted to compare a bunch of the fest beers in a blind tasting to see if Spaten would win. The food is great as well. They make the best NY style pizza in CT. Remember you have to eat something so you can drink more beer

Besides a truly great selection of taps, My Place has a smart selection of bottled beers - meaning four or five choice examples of each style, rather than the usual beer-bar mongo list intended to impress/overwhelm you with names, few of which are actually available. I also appreciate the appropriate glassware they use here, from goblets to thistles to pints. Proprietors Mark and John make drinking here an education and a pleasure, even for the occasional menu typo one must suffer. As for their menu being 'hard to read' - like me, I fear poor Mr. Neal will soon be needing glasses.

I've been to My Place many times, and I am very impressed with how they've grown. Their food is great, and their beer selection is very broad. The beer selections come on their own menu, and there's quite a few. One bad thing I've noticed, however (if this kind of thing really matters to you) is that the beer menu is very cluttered and hard to read -- with several glaring typos.

"My Place" is one of the best things to happen to the area in a long time ! Have visited here a few times now and both Mark and John are quite sharp when it comes to the rarer brews. They always have some exotic belgians and british brews on tap and if you don't care for the tap beers then they always some good staples in bottle form. Ask for the beer menu, and then ask for something special as they usually have some great bottle conditioned beers that are just plain not available elsewhere. Make sure to have a pizza if you are in the bar. Never had the restaurant food but I've heard it is quite good. Key thing to remember is to stop by late in the week (say Thursday or Friday) when they get their rare british cask conditioned ales, which are only good for a few days. Wish they were good for longer !

Stopped by a few times at a work-mate's recommendation, and discovered a nice little gem. Nice tap selection, and a great bottle selection. The owner is beer-savvy, and does a great job of keeping beers properly (i.e. the stronger brews are not kept too cold, which is nice). Friendly staff too. The extra Bigfoot barleywine they sent my way last visit caused me to miss the first couple of tunes of the Hole concert nearby :< Oh well, the price you pay when you're having fun.
