I recently went into the Lion & Eagle, first time for quite a while and what a turn around! There have been numerous changes for the better, including the numerous flat screens, the new menu, and the recent addition of the liquor license! The new owner, Rob introduced himself and what a great lad! The barman, also introduced himself and I must say was very pleasant! I sampled the food, made by the new cook, Tony and the food was excellent! Now the football season's about to start, what a great place to spend Saturday afternoons, watching football in Hi Def! Check it out for sure!

I have been going to this pub for the last five years and unfortunately it needed a pick me up. I recently went there this Wednesday for the first time in awhile and was told that there was a new owner. The bartender introduced me to the new owner, Rob, who told me that he had took over May 1st. I have to admit i was amazed at the improvements that had been made. The new flatscreen tv's surely are gonna add to the football experiences and also i was pleasantly surprised to notice the air conditioning was working. It was also nice to see that i could order a mixed drink now which will go down well with the missus. All in all i had a great experience and the new owner seems to know what is needed and was very friendly. I can't wait until the new season kicks off. Great job!

I have to admit, i used to like going there , and old owner is a really gentleman. However he recently got together with two young guy as co-owner. OMG
We went there to watch three match of Euro2008 (each time at least 15 people) but last time we have been litterally insulted by the waiter (or co-owner, whoever): he was saying he bet on France and was yelling to us. There were girls and finally they also had to listen to his compliments "oh you are too beutiful to be italian!!! .... depressant!!!" I don't care if you are supporting for an other team, but if you are running a place, we are bringing you money, you shouldn't behave like an hooligan.
For me they can close the place: I won't give them any of my $s

Great food, great beer, great staff! always a soccer game on the TVs. best magner's black velvet around. this place also has a very friendly atmosphere and a great patronage.
