I'm not sure of the post Katrina status, but we went a few times over the last few years. Just so-so to be honest, although you certainly don't get a good deal unless you're comped by the casino. Otherwise, overpriced for what you get.

I recently spent a few days in Biloxi at the Beau Rivage and was able to try Coast Brewing a few times. It is located at the back of a noisy casino, but once you get inside, it is a very nice stylish brewpub. As a previous reviewer noted, it is only open for dinner and then it becomes almost like a nightclub. All the food I tried was very good for pub food. When I was there they had seven beers on tap. I'm not a big fan of light beers so I didnt' care much for the Biloxi Light and Biloxi Blonde. The seasonal was an unfiltered wheat beer. Pretty good if you like wheats. Their amber was very good (or I was very thirsty) and comparable to a Fat Tire. The Bock seemed to be more of a black ale along the lines of a New Belgium 1554. Not bad, but not the Bock I was looking for. I really liked their Millenium Pale Ale. That was the beer I had most often. I also enjoyed their stout. While not a great traditional brewpub, it is the best beer you'll find along the Gulf Coast.

The Coast Brew Pub is located in the Beau Rivage Casino on the beach at Biloxi. In fact, you have to pass through a large, noisy slot machine area to get to the pub. The two bars are covered with gambling devices with blinking lights and video. The pub does not open until 5:00 PM, and the food stops at 10:00. Live entertainment starts at 11:00 PM, when they also add an obnoxious dress code. I was twice harassed about taking photo's, although some kinds are allowed. All in all, this pub does not have the kind of atmosphere that most craft beer fans would enjoy. Nevertheless, a real pubcrawler will not be put off, and will persever to taste the beers. The beers were fairly good, in the Southern style - which is light on hops. Southern Belle was a Belgian style wit beer, very mild. Millenium Ale was a pale ale, but did not live up to the promise of hoppiness described in their menu. Beau Rivage Bock was very dark, plenty of malt but not hops. Steel Head Stout was a stout, but not outstanding. Sunset Amber, which has apparently won prizes in the Vienna Amber catagory, was a malty brew typical of the ambers popular in this region. All in all, well, this seems to be the only surviving brewpub in southern Mississippi; so, if you are there ignore my complaints and enjoy fresh beer brewed on the spot.

Biloxi's sole remaining brewpub is pretty good, tucked in the back of the upscale Beau Rivage casino. It is nicely finished, with a show stage in the middle. Beers were a blend of European styles, including German kolsch, Vienna and bock, British pale ale and stout, and even a Belgian wit seasonal. The bock and wit were very good, the stout and BPA average, and the other two not so hot. Overall, a good place worth the visit.

Given the previous reviews, surprisingly good beer! They have something for everyone. The lighter beers still have taste. There is a pretty good pale ale for the hoppy set. The stout is good too. Food was excellent and the bartenders friendly and helpful. It's worth a side trip if you're in the area.

The Brew Pub in the Bea Rivage Casino is a fun, enjoyable and attractive establishment. As one reviewer accurately pointed out, it is on par with the quality of the rest of the casino. The beer quite good, I have no complaints. Although, I found the Biloxi Blonde and Biloxi Light to be much too light for my taste. I enjoyed their Sunset Amber very much, however. It was a heavier beer with much more flavor. The food is very good as far as appetizers go, and still good on the entrees. The chicken wings taste especially good with the beer. The bartenders are very friendly and are quick to serve you. Most of them know a thing or two about the beer and will happy to recommend one if you’re not familiar with the different kinds of beer they make. It’s definitely worth checking out if you’re ever in the Gulf Coast area in Mississippi.

A+ for atmosphere, in keeping with the quality of the rest of Beau Rivage. Service was very good as well. Unfortunately, that's where the kudos ends. The beer was ok, but did not impress me. However, I like strong beers, stouts, etc. The co-worker that was with me is not as big a beer fan as I am, and furthermore he prefers a lighter beer. He enjoyed the beers, and considered them tasty. Bartender was perfect: seemed to know something about the beer business (spoke with him a bit about McGuire's in Pensacola/Destin, an hour or so to the east) and he was friendly as well, but not overly chatty, which is how I like it. Here's a trick: sit at the bar and feed the slots built into it and you drink for free...what a deal! If the beer had been better I would have considered moving to Biloxi, or at least vacationing there regularly. I'm not a gambler, but actually got lucky at the quarter slots and ended up with either a flush or four of a kind, and made $20 or so. We had four or five pints (or what passes for them there)then walked outside to the Craps table, and my co-worker, a craps fan, joined in. Things got to rolling right away, and big money was flying: I noticed a guy at the end of the table with around $13,000 in chips. Co-worker won a bit, then the table died down, and we left. A nice plus: Beau Rivage also has a number of shops so, if you're having trouble convincing the wife or SO to go for a beer tell her about the shops. It was a neat experience and, although the beer is so-so, I'd recommend it to any beer lovers that end up in BIloxi, particularly if you like to do a bit of gambling as well.

Beers were pretty average for a brewery, but good compared to the alternative. The bands that played on the stage in the middle of the establishment was very good.

Due to the light beers on tap I limited myself to the bach. It was very good alone and with a huge club sandwich. Give it a try.

The wait for good beer in Mississippi is over. The folks at the Beau Rivage Casino have created an absolutely stunning establishment. Copper, brick and wood are everywhere. In fact the entire brewery is clad in copper. The brewpub encircles a stage where such acts as Peter Frampton, Hall and Oats, and Joan Jett perform. But what about the beer? Mississippi law prohibits Coast Brewing from making beer with over 4% Alcohol (by weight or volume I do not know). As a result the brews are light bodied. In addition, all the five beers on tap when I was there were lagers. Biloxi Blonde is the lightest and the Ruby Red is the darkest. In the middle is an Amber, a Plisner and a Bock (automatically handicapped due to low alcohol). The beers are good and refreshing. The food is great and is upscale pub grub (soup, salad, sandwiches and pizza) Some items are made using the house beer. Overall, the place is great and a must visit for the wandering pub crawler.

This place is located inside the Beau Rivage casino. They only have about 5-6 beers, and they are all lagers. I tried two (a pilsner and a bock) and they were both good, if a bit mild.
