Went because of reviews. Not a place for open conversational fun. Narrow bar, cramped booths, and in our case, service by bartender that was polite but painfully slow. Food was average at best. Very local, tweedy and quiet. Not a place for social groups or out-of-towners looking for adventure. Went because it was on your list...no reason to return.

This pub has a vast beer list, as well as many single-malt scotches and other libations. The food is well above average, and reminds me of home cooking. Especially fun is the early Sunday evening weekly Irish music jam, which is great fun for children, family and friends. The staff is friendly, unpretentious, and eager to make your time there pleasant.
