No longer a brewpub, just a beer bar and, I believe, pouring only megabrewed beers, Bud, Coors, etc. No website up anymore.

Just talked to the GM at New Road last week, and they are NOT brewing. They are still selling the beer Brian O'Reilly brewed last June, and a bunch of commercial beers like Molson, Coors Light, and Yuengling Lager. The GM did say they were talking to two brewers, but they're only looking for part-timers. Doesn't look good. Sorry, guys, but it just doesn't look good.

After a long and heated battle against the dreaded half-baked attempt, Brian O'Reilly has succumbed to the foe. Despite Herculean tenacity, the patience of Job the talent of deClerck and a herd of cloven-hoofed farm animals, O'Reilly was unable to wrestle the beast to the ground. Good Luck at your next brewery, Brian. It's hard to keep a good man down.

Just heard from a very reliable source that New Road has stopped brewing beer as of last Tuesday. I hope it's not true, but I suspect it is all too true. This place never did deserve ace brewer Brian O'Reilly, and I doubt it will survive without him.

Took an overnighter to try this place and brew moon in King of Prussia. New Road is not the easiest to find, but is worth the trip. I love the way the place is setup and is very comfortable. The beers were very good with a nice selection. Unfortunately, the one I wanted was not available that night, Ichor. I had tried it at festivals and really liked it. But there were certainly other brews to take its place. We thoroughly enjoyed the fine cuisine they served with their eclectic menu. The food, service and beer were great...you can't ask for any more than that! Hope to get back there soon! Put this one on your list of places to go!

This has quickly become one of my favorite brewpubs. The beer is very good and they always seem to have something a out of the ordinary, though I often want something heavier on the hop side. I'm happy to see they are currently serving a nicely hopped, well balanced pale ale. The food is excellent, whether you order a full dinner, sandwich, chili, or appetizers, and they don't skimp on portions. They are in an old warehouse, but have managed to give it a very pleasant atmosphere (unlike Victory). They also have live music 4 nights a week, but it's in another room so you don't get blasted while dining. My only real complaint is that service on Monday or Tuesday night is nowhere near the caliber of service during the rest of the week (which is excellent).

I stopped in to this brewery to have a Mild Ale. I was dismayed that they didn't have one on tap. Who doesn't have a mild on tap - I mean, really. So I left without having a beer (almost a 8 hour drive and no mild ale!) I hear the other beers are fantastic, but I really had a taste for a mild ale. Mild Ale. Mild Ale. Did I mention Mild Ale? Make mine a Mild!

I heard about New Road from a colleague in Collegeville. It was close so we decided to try it out for dinner. I hijacked my co-workers and dragged them to the brewhouse. Everyone was impressed. They had a limited selection of beers which were awesome. The limited selection allowed one to taste all the wares in full size pints! The apps are amazing. We ventured back the next day with 20 people for lunch and ordered the whole apps page! The food was outstanding as were the brews. I'm glad we have an office so close. I can't wait to go back. If you find yourself in the area, this is the place to check out! Say Hello to Amy while you are there. She's an outstanding waitress and one helluva good sport!! Congrats to the Owners, Managers and Waitstaff. I hope they are in business for the long haul!

Visited this establishment with a group of experienced beer tasters and we were pleasently surprised. Nothing was extremely hoppy, but all the beers that were on tap were well balanced and true to style. The Belgian Triple was especially tasty. Food was very good including the appetizers and the chili. Well worth a visit for both the food and the beer.

We are certainly blessed in this part of God's beer garden world. The selection of good, no exceptionly good brew, is fortunate and appreciated. Here is yet another unique establishment to enjoy a great, but limited selection of fine quality, crafted beer. The golden lager is unusually smooth and richly delicious. The Triple Abbey is sensentional. My client loved the food (the crabcake is great), but the beer is expanding and extending the New Road of flavor in the Delaware Valley area.

It's always great to see new breweries/pubs opening that make quality product. Obviously, Brian the brewer knows what he's doing and he's not getting any outside interference which can sometimes (often?) hamper a brewer's ability to showcase his or her talents.

All the beers I tried were clean and well made. While I've never been a fan of lagers, The Pilsner was exceptional and I could have had quite a few pints. If you like beer, it's worth the trip as the beers are top-notch and the selection varied. Expect there to be something a bit different such as the "Abbey Extra" to go along with the more mainstream styles such as Pils, Amber, and Stout.

The beer selection could be larger, however, the quality is very good. I have been there twice and made it a point to try every beer style that appealed to me. None of them were disappointing. I wonder if they'll make a barley wine this year...

I was stunned by how GOOD these beers were only 6 weeks after opening when I visited in early December. The Procrastinator in particular blew me away: this is a weizendoppelbock that bows only to Aventinus, it is the equal of Victory's Moonglow. All the beers were clean and skillfully brewed. I've talked to three area brewers since then who were all similarly impressed. New Road has hit the ground running. Within a year, this will be a destination brewpub, one that people will make a special trip to visit. And... I have to say it. Guys, there is MORE TO BEER THAN HOPS!!! Any moron can throw another half bale of hops in a brewkettle or maturation tank. It takes real skill to brew excellent beers that don't rely on tons of hops for their flavor. New Road brewer Brian O'Reilly clearly has that skill. Embrace it, enjoy it, learn from it. Don't ever stop learning new things about beer!

I liked the IPA, which was not hoppy enough for me, but not much is. The food was excellent, we had the dumplings, spring rolls, chili and the "fancy" chicken sandwich. They should add a little punch to their beer line, even the stoudt was light, but still tasty. Once the building is complete they will have a real winner because of the area. I don't think this place would survive anywhere else but in the development haven that it is in.

This place is off to a good start. Nothing outstanding like what Victory ofers but it shows promise. The Pils has a nice Saaz hop accent; it's not a wimp. And the Scotch Ale was very malty and well balanced. Both were were very smooth and served very well with a nice amount of head on top. Very good food!! It's a good start but I hope they add a little meat to their lineup someday.

This is a new brewpub that has only been open since early November. There were four beers (normally five) on tap ; a golden, an amber, a porter, and a dopple bach. The porter was full bodied and excellent. The dopple (Procrastinator) was kind of sweet, kind of spicy, and very high octane. The amber and golden were solid for their types. The brewmaster plans on swapping in different beers often, and an IPA should be coming soon. There are future plans for good support of cask conditioned beers. The menu was varied and reasonably priced, the crab cake was delicious, and the Caramel Apple Pie for dessert got an extremely high rating from my wife. For just getting started, they're doing an excellent job. We'll be back.

The "New Road Brewhouse" is definitely on the right road! .... the road to success! They most certainly have the right ingredients to make it in the "Brew Pub" business, Good beer and Great food. I visited their new establishment in Collegeville, PA, just about 2 weeks after opening. The beer is very good for a new establishment. I am sure that it will only improve as they move forward. The food that I sampled was presented very well and it tasted as well as it looked! I started off with their beer sampler including "Collegeville Station Gold", "New Road Amber", "Rebels Den Dry Stout", "John J's Hefe Weizen" and the "Procrastinator." All were very palatable, my favorite being the "New Road Amber," as it was similar to a mild I.P.A. The "Procrastinator" is a good "High Octane" brew, if you like the sweeter stuff. The C.S.G. should satisfy most of the lagar population that can handle a little "hoppiness" in their life!! ... Lord knows, we could all use a little Hoppiness! All of the other beers I sampled were average and certainly drinkable. As for the food ... What I sampled was prepared with a gourmet flare that is to be expected with moderate pricing, but it was presented as well, if not better, then you would find in most High priced dining establishments. If you are a "crab cake" fan, you'll love theirs. I found it to be the most original and best I've ever enjoyed. And you "chili" fans, don't let the $7.00 price tag scare ya ... it's worth every cent of that !! I encourage all to make the trek to the "New Road Brewhouse" in Collegeville, PA. I am certain that this place will be a success !! Congratulations to the Owners, Managers and staff .... You've got a winner !! Happy Beering to all ! :O)
