This was our first trip out west and our daughter was checking out Idaho Falls as a future job site. We were told about the Idaho Brewing Company and were we happy we found it. Wolf, Robin and Dan couldn't have been more accomodating. Felt like meeting old friends.Had a wonderful evening and liked the impromptu brew tour. The beer was totally awesome and a must stop for visitors. Robin's hospitality and chocolate ice cream topped the evening- Beer and Chocolate- a winning combination!!!Hats off, guys and thanks for a warm welcome to the West

This place is DOA. According to the yellow pages Brownstone Restaurant & Brewhouse is the only brewery in Idaho Falls. Yuck!

We do not serve food. However, customers may order in pizza or bring in anything they wish to eat.
-- Brewer's name is David Barrus. Dave replaced brewer Steve Hoffman two years ago. We have one dollar pints on Monday evenings.

They have a nice tasting room and bar. There were about seven different beers on tap. All of the beers on tap are brewed on premises and are excellent. You can also pick up a six-pack to go.
The staff are very friendly and knowledgable about beer in general and gave a great tour of the brewery.

I visited this brewery a few years ago and really liked the direction they were headed, but was underwhelmed with the overall quality of the product. What a difference a few years make!! I had the privilege of a return visit and was extremely impressed with both the beer and the facility. After quaffing more than "a few" in the cozy tasting room, I was treated to a brewery tour by the new brewer Dave. He knows what he is doing and the proof is in the pudding. I was very impressed by his "Idaho Pale Ale" which brings back memories of a few nights spent reveling in the great alehouses of Great Britian. Also excellent was the brown ale aptly titled "Maggies Dog Slobber" after the brewers 3 yr. old retriever. I finished my tasting with a snifter of "Idaho Barleywine" and was pleasantly surprised by its warmth and character. I plan another trip soon to taste the 5 taps I missed. The bar staff was very friendly and the locals know beer as well as any I've encountered in the northwest. If your'e on your way to Yellowstone anytime soon I suggest you make this a must stop.
