Since they expanded this place into two sections it has lost a lot of its character as a good local drinking establishment. All pints at $2.5 on Saturdays still works fine for me. I've been here lots of times and the food is always good (for pub fare). If you like to be outside they have a nice open patio area in front.

The management is good. Some of the waitresses are better than others. The weakest point of this place is service.

I came into have some Red Bull drinks,,they tried to give me some fake cheap stuff fromthe bargun. Tasted horrible. I was passed off too which is illegal acctually so make sure you let your customers know that they have to tell them Roaring Lion and not Red Bull is what you have.

How long has this place been open? The bathrooms look like the ones in the 40 year old college bars along Hillsborough St.! Yuck!

The service will never impress you. I work across the street from this place and have eaten there so many times I've lost count. EVERY time I left feeling disappointed because the help doesn't seem to be happy there. Needless to say I don't frequent the place anymore, but if you are up for oversized portions of food and pathetic service doesn't bother you, check them out! Everything on the menu is tasty, and you will EVENTUALLY be rudely handed your drink.

I received lousy service here and will never come back. I'd recommend the other restaurants in the shopping center where the beer tastes better, and the wait staff are pleasant.
If you like be treated like a jerk and looking at the Bimbo's (ahem..waitress's) buttocks hanging out of her shorts, then this is the place for you.

My favorite pub. I found this place while on business in NC from the UK. Since then I mave spent many blurred hours there. Friendly staff, loud music and good beer. Better than the pubs we get in the UK
