Stopped by here during a recent trip to Irishfest. An inviting bar that is a real comfortable place to relax. Not that many beers ot tap, though they do offer the usually great Lakefront products, which for some reason I could never fathom in my many visits to Milwaukee is not available in many of the places I haunt. Nomad is a nice neighborhood tavern that makes visitors seem welcome - unlike many places I have frequented.

Quite a lively spot on the Saturday afternoon I visited. They have a solid tap selection, including a Nomad Red Lager brewed for them by Lakefront Brewing. They have limited outdoor seating and interesting decor. I'd visit again when in Milwaukee.

I have to agree with the comment about the bartenders--the voluptuous blonde on duty when I went there looked like a work of art. Very friendly service. The unavailability of food was a drawback but there were several places nearby to eat.

If ya haven't been there, don't rate the bar, people! This place is one of the coolest in Milwaukee. Never seen a fight there EVER with a very elcetic mix of people. Some nights it's a sausage fest, other nights it's babes galore! Best place to sit outside in summer and watch the freaks on Brady street. "76 trombones led the big parade..." (had to be there) Very cute female bartenders. Check out the tall thin brunette. God, I love her!!!

I have not been to this place, but a fellow I know, who used to live near Milwaukee and who travels there still, says the Nomad "is very cool with a really nice beer selection". Nomad Red Lager (www.redlager.com) is produced by Lakefront Brewery.
