I've known about this place since they opened and have only been here 3 or 4 times. After my most recent visit I need to make this place a regular stop! 16 taps with the selections being a very good mix of styles. Happened upon a freshly tapped keg of Mojo IPA from Boulder Brewing which made my night. Weekend pitcher price was $7.25 which made for one hell of a bargain. Food was awesome. Pulled pork sandwich was absolutely humongous. Had to get a take out carton for leftovers which is a rarity for me. Only thing that perplexed me was that there was not a whole lot going on crowd wise for an early saturday evening. Would definitely recommend this place. Will make a point to stop by more often.

Well worth a stop. Not a huge beer selection, and no beers that you can't find elsewhere, but nevertheless well-chosen and certainly satisfactory for anyone but the snobbiest of beer snobs (it's also not far from Beers of the World, but that's a different review). Despite the strip-mall location, it has a good, neighborhood-tavern feel on the inside. Food runs from standard pub fare to more upscale entrees, but never strays too far from its tavern roots or gets pretentious or overly ambitious. I have always found the servers friendly and capable. Joe, the owner, is frequently on the premises (perhaps less so right now, as he is in the process of opening another bar/restaurant in the area), and truly wants his customers to enjoy their visit.

Now that smoking has come to an end for bars in New York state - this is one overlooked and underrated bar! Not a great beer selection, but what they have is good. Food is better than average "pub grub." Bartenders, well..so-so. It's hit and miss. Owner is pleasant and wants to please. When Mike Kaupa and company play 'straight ahead' jazz there - then this place is unbeatable in my book!! You cannot beat the combination of good beer and food and great jazz!! How about having him back on a regular basis!? Remember, there's not much choice in Rochester. So, enjoy what is there. Anybody else feel the same way? Dr. Doug

Tucked away in a small strip mall, you have to enter this place to see the attraction. Quimby's has a comfortable feel to it, with lots of old wood and a great old bar. The beer choices are modest but include 3-4 micro-brews along with the standards. The food is very good with absolutly huge portions. The bartenders are among the most genuinely friendly I've encountered anywhere.Well worth a stop when in the area.
