Don't blink when you walk in, you might just miss the brewery. They have purchased a very small commercial brewing system that sits in the front of the bar. They make some very nice attempts at beer, but the taste indicates a serious lack of experience.

The place looks really good, hardwood floors, nice bar, and funishings.
Only had time for two beers, the brown ale was decent. The Red was terrible, like one of my worst home brews. They probably deserve another try, but they are no high on my list of places to return.

As far as I know it was open last weekend (decemeber 11 2004) with a live band playing. They still have all the old time favorites and there should be a Belgium White starting shortly.

Nice pictures of old breweries on the walls. Unfortunately we the product they serve, they too will soon be a picture of an old brewery on someone's wall. Hands dow, the absolute worst beer I have ever had at Midwest brewpub or micro. We thought the Oktoberfest had been contaminated it was that bad. The bartender said it was an English Oktoberfest! Huh?!?!?!?! Save your money and time and head to Lake Mills and Tyranena where they know how to brew great beer. Bellows is a joke, no wonder they got run out of Waunakee!!

Nice place. Great service. Excellent beer at a fair price. There is no other place quite like Bellows for probably a 30 mile radius, so if you're in the neighborhood, head on over there. PS - Don't forget to ask for Danny's award-winning special if you appreciate a really good beer.

Depending upong my mood there seems to be something for me. Whether it's the IPA (kinda hoppy, but with a taste all to it's own) or the dunkle (it's an oktoberfest out of season...makes the trip worth while on it's own) or the wheat (put a lemon in this and you will be drinking it all night...oh so smooth). If your in town, stop in, have a slice of emil's pizza (also made in watertown) and talk to the brewmaster because he is in on most nights. One last thing...the atmosphere is what brings me back...hardwood floors, old look with the brew kettles right were you walk in, being able to sample all the beers before you make your final choice, a nice mix of people (young and old alike) and a tasty beer to tickle your pallet.

I live in Watertown and frequent this bar on a weekly basis. Depending upong my mood there seems to be something for me. Whether it's the IPA (kinda hoppy, but with a taste all to it's own) or the dunkle (it's an oktoberfest out of season...makes the trip worthe while on it's own) or the wheat (put a lemon in this and you will be drikning it all night...oh so smooth). So maybe I have a bit a bias because I live in the town, but this place has given me a new taste for the micro brew. If your in town, stop in, have a slice of emil's pizza (also made in watertown) and talk to the brewmaster because he is in on most nights. tried to sample the beer last Saturday. Unfortunately it does not open until 4pm so we could not get in. Keep this in mind if you are planning to stop.

The pub was very welcoming and cozy, hard wood floors and old pictures on the wall. The beer selection was pretty good my favorite the I.P.A. and the Stout, a GABF 2001 winner. I came in early and played a couple games pool and the juke box. A great place to take it easy, I felt at home. The bar tender right on top of things and very friendly. If you are in town make sure to stop in.
