They have no Happy Hour and their food is way overpriced. If you want to spend 5.50 for a domestic beer during Happy Hour, then this is your favorite place. The staff used to be good about 2 years ago, but the quality has gone extremely down, I don't know what happened to this once awesome pub. It is now just another overpriced and overrated bar. The staff is too busy talking amongst themselves to make money, they are just horrific.

Great Great So So So So So So
It's not a bad place, really. The food is decent and the beers are served properly. They always have the beers I'm looking for, but their service is only slightly above average. It's not awful, but it leaves something to be desired.

The overall atmosphere is good, with the outside area topping the inside area by a small margin. The inside is sort of a long-house design, with an open airy outside patio.

Bottom line, it's a good place that could be great if it had better management. I've been in more than one group that ran into double charges from the bar on their charge/check cards. Normally this isn't a big deal, honest mistake, but the management has been slow and resistant in correcting these errors. It all leaves a bad taste on an otherwise happy palette.

So So So So So So So So So So
Overpriced and underflavored food. Some members of the waitstaff are rude and slow. Do not go to this bar on Tuesdays between 6 PM and 11 PM - you will not be able to sit down.

The bar hosts a pub quiz on Tuesday at 7:30. The quiz has a great emcee and is very entertaining, but the current management allows one person to reserve unlimited seats. This policy means that all the patio seating and most of the indoor seating – even though 4 out of 5 seats are unoccupied - will already be reserved even an hour and a half before the quiz. After arriving early and not being able to find a table, despite dozens of seats sitting empty, my husband and I complained. Effectively, we were told by a waiter and then the manager that our business was not as important as that of people who had not yet arrived. You will be treated in a similar manner.

As an alternative, try B.D. Riley’s or Fado. Both are downtown, host a pub quiz and have better food and service than this place.

Everyone MUST have the burger...it's simply amazing!!! Mother Egan's has a very unique atmosphere you don't see very often in bar/pubs. With lots of fun events throughout the week, this place is definitely where it's at!
