This is a wonderfully relaxing place to unwind at the end of a long day. We recently (Dec. 2002) watched a movie in their new viewing room, and had a great time drinking, eating, and watching.

This is one of our favorite places. Not a typical McMenamin's; they haven't refurbished it as much as, say, the Edgefield, but that's a good thing. You can really feel the history of the Olympic Club. The atmosphere is unique and the patrons and staff are real people. If you're a yuppie type you probably won't like it as well as we do -- try one of the other McMenamins instead. It doesn't get much better than quaffing a great brew near the woodstove on a rainy afternoon, or out on the sidewalk or patio on one of those delicious, rare Northwest summer days when it's nice outside. The service is always friendly but pretty unpredictable as to speed and efficiency. The food, alas, is unpredictable also, but usually very good. But we go for the BEER anyway, which is always fabulous. We usually have an IPA if available -- they rotate different ones and they're always wonderfully hoppy; Hammerhead is always on tap and is our second choice. Love that beer and the unique surroundings of all McMenamin's establishments.
