This place is hard to find, but once you do, it is worth it. Sit outside on the patio if the weather is nice.
Most of the servers were not very friendly, but the one that was stuck with us, was very friendly and courteous.
We ate mostly the appetizers, but the rest of the menu looked good. Great variety of beers, and many of them on tap.
I'll come back to this place whenever I visit this are again.

Great place if you want to relax and enjoy a few beers. Bartenders were helpful to find a beer that you would like. Free samples too! Wish it was closer to my neighborhood.

Being in the Navy, I have had the chance to visit many pubs in a lot of different locations. This one is by far the best place I have visited in terms of Selection, Service, and Atmosphere. There is a beer there for everyone. The food is great pub food. The waitresses are phenominal. You just cant beat the deals that they have either. I just wish they had one up in the Northeast so I dont have to wait to visit "home" to go there.

Hit this place on a Thursday evening. It has about 70 taps and a 100 or so bottle selections. I had an American Sampler followed by a pint of Cottonwood ale. All the beers were well-kept and served at a proper temperature. Loved the sign over the bar, "Amateurs want frosted mugs". The female servers were hot and those pleated cheerleader skirts really are short. There was a free buffet the night we visited with cajun shrimp, wings, and meatballs. We also ordered a couple of appetizers and salads. Typical pub fare but very good and reasonably priced. I normally avoid chains but will go out of my way to visit a Saucer.

A lot of good beer on tap. The best Brats I ever had! The German Potato salad was great. The waitresses were hot and fun. I will always make time to stop at a Flying Saucer when I am in the area of one.

I forgot to mention that all of the waitresses and bartenders are up to par on beer knowledge. The employees are required to take a beer exam once a month which further enhances their knowledge and any of them can recommend any style available. A note on the food, nothing stands out, but all food is well prepared and is good pub food. Can those waitresses' skirts get any shorter? Best looking crew in town!

With almost 100 taps and as many in bottles, this place has the most diverse beer selection in town. Music on Friday & Saturday nights, $2.50 NC beers on Sunday and all draughts $2.50 on Mondays. Beer is served at appropriate temperatures and in NON-frosted pint glasses. Check out their "glass night" on Wednesdays for mostly brewery glasses you can keep when you buy the beer.

An excellent experience at your bar. Your bar tender Kevin Beck was a very big help in finding the exact beer for me. Props to the Beck man.

Become a regular at this place, and you'll feel like family. The waitresses are all "hotties" as advertised. The attitude is congenial, and the crowd is usually a nice mix of ages and styles. If you're hungry, go for the chicken sandwich; otherwise, grab a bite at one of the restaurants next door.

The food is not what you go here for. The wings are served in a stainless dog bowl and were cold. The rest of the food menu is limited and a bit pricey for what you get. But the place is fun to hang out at. Interesting mix of College and Work crowd depending on night. Nice wait staff...

This is my second visit to this place and the food has gotten better and the service was also. I had to write a letter of complaint about my first visit, but they have improved in the areas I had concerns about. Monday night all pints are $2.50!!

This place started out as a really cool place to hang out with friends and get some beers, but the place has become overun with yuppies. I'm not one to generalize, but it's the truth. It's hard to 'chill out' with button up shirts and khakis at the bar. But I still love it and go anyways...

This new Charlotte, NC addition to the Flying Saucer chain is a welcome new beer bar to the city's beer scene. The establishment is very comfortable with sofas up front and pool tables and dart boards in the back room of the bar. The beers were served well and at the appropriate temperatures (I liked the sign behind the bar that said something like "only people who don't know good beer ask for frosted mugs"). The selection of beer was very nice and included most all great beers available in the area -- including the NC craft brews. They run beer specials on a regular basis too -- these are good for your budget.

Beer selection is large but most are from outside of the U.S. Draughts were a touch on the warm side. Food quality is still lacking. Servers are still not in touch with the micro scene and have problems suggesting the various brew styles. This was definately a "Been there - done that" visit.

By far the best selection you will find in Charlotte. I've also been to the one in Addison and Arlington (TX). Both are more established than the Charlotte branch. This is a place that only gets better with time. The waitress staff may seem out of touch now but let them ferry the beer a little longer and they'll be up on the lingo and ready to recommend anything at the drop of a hat.

Great beer selection but the food is low end pub grub and the chips are stale. Servers are young and out of touch with the clients.
