Beer Quality Beer Selection Food Service Overall

The Buffalo is one of those classic mountain town bars, occupying a group of historic structures on the main street of this legendary mining town. It is no surprise that the specialty of the house are a variety of menu items featuring buffalo meat. The beer selection is not overwelming, but there are some beers from Colorado micros (Tommyknocker is just down the street) and some import choices on draft or in bottles. It is easy to stop at the Buffalo and also the Tommyknocker Brewery & Pub when passing by Idaho Springs on I-70.
