Out of business since at least 2007. Don't have anything more to add, but they want 50 characters!

Like everybody on PubCrawler, I love microbrews and respect the folks that give it a go. I hate to be negative when there's beer involved! With that said, I've never been more disappointed with a brew pub.
I was there shortly before Octoberfest and I guess HBC was putting all their energy into those brews. Only thing on tap was the 1804 and Hermann Ale which tasted identical (both very bland) and an overwhelming cherry wheat. No stouts, porters, ipa, hefeweizen, octoberfest, nothing!
Pizza was a cut below Red Baron and the waiter acted like I had insulted his family at some point. From what I observed, all the other employees acted the same. What's with the attitude?
Maybe I just caught them on a bad night as I had heard some positive things about the HBC. My wife and I plan to return to Hermann (beautiful town!) but I'll just bring my own beer and skip the HBC.

A nice place with only 3 brews on draft. I treid two of them and was underwhelmed. They were soft, too soft. One of their beers was a "summer stout"?

I feel that George's non-beer comments were unfairly taken out of context, so let me add that the only time plastic is used at this establishment is during a festival (3x per year). As he arrived at the tail-end of a rather long Maifest celebration, we had run out of most beer and he found it fairly quiet only because the festival was nearly over. It would have been impossible for us to switch to glassware at that point, because it had been stored away to make room for the event. As the "mom" of this tiny "mom and pop" establishment, I encourage anyone reading this to visit for yourself and review. We are Open weekends only (closed weekdays for production), we do not boast the most beer, but what we have is guaranteed to be fresh because we always sell out... No corporate franchises here~Thanks! Crissy Hoefle, (aka "mom") Hermann Brewing Company

Only 2 beers on tap and they were both fruit beers. They were thin (add more malt) and were served in plastic cups. The place was not busy so there is no excuse for plastic cups. I would not go out of my way to return.

Very friendly people at this brewpub. Only two beers on tap. The pale ale seemed like a good amber ale instead: not much hops. The honey ale was good, though not my favorite style. Didn't try the food.

As a startup brewpub, the owners have done a great job. There is a small but very good selection of food and their beers a coming out very nicely! I hope that their business does well - nice people, nice place in a scenic town on the banks of the Missouri River.

The beer, food and service at the Hermann Brewing Company are excellent. The building is quite neat, too. The HBC is owned by a local couple. The husband is the brewmaster and chef, and the wife is the waitress and bartender. Only two real knocks against this place. The first is the beer selection: it only brews two of its own beers, the Hermann Ale and the Dry Stout. The other is that it's a small location that can easily fill up. If you visit the wineries in Hermann, you really should make it a point to stop at the Hermann Brewing Company, too.
