This is an English theme bar, which makes a change form all the Irish theme bars around. The decor does a fairly good job of imitiating a typical old city pub, with lots of dark wood panelling. Ambience was comfortable and the service was attentive. The beer selection was fairly uninspiring; the big brands that can be found anywhere in the world, with the possible exception of Keiths.
Food was good. I had Shepherd's Pie (strictly it was cottage pie, since it was made with beef not lamb, but close enough), which was very pleasant. I followed this with the Brownies, which was delicious and also huge.
All in all it is a good place if you are in the vicinity but I wouldn't travel to it.
