I went to to his place by accident one afternoon after running into some friends on my drive home. I had an Irish car bomb and some Irish Chips with cheese. My friend was nice enough to pick up the tab so I didn't really get a look at the price. I've been there twice since then, first to try some of the beers on tap and the second time for more beers and food.
Go during happy hour. Almost all the appetizers are half price (with the exception of a sampler but when things are half price you can make your own sampler). Irish chips with cheese are normally $5 but at happy hour it's only a mere $2.50, and $3.75 after the discount for like 20 buffalo wings, who can argue with that? Both the chips and the wings were great and I plan on enjoying them again soon. I saw stuffed mushrooms on the menu and will definitely try those next time.
The beers during happy hour are discounted as well (from $.50 to $1). I got an Allagash White for $4!
Great selection of beers from a place I thought I would never go to/fit into. The service was prompt, courteous, and very respectful. They treat you like they want you there and that is something I can really appreciate.

Fitzgerald's can be summarized prety easily with this simple anicdote;
One fine wednesday evening I set out to meet some friends at a place I had never been and quite frankly was scepticle of due to the location. I was unsure that it would hold to the quality I appriciate in a house of brew. Nonetheless I journeyed onward and was shocked to find an inviting blend of some of the world's finest beers in an atmoshpere that was pleasingly deliberate, it was almost as if someone had taken the time to create a place where I would have trouble dragging lifes woes within. After an evening of Powers, Guiness and Car Bombs. Pool, music and good food I finally decided to call it quits. Well actually the establishment was closing but it felt like I was leaving on my own accord. When I saw my tab I decided that although it may be miles from home, this was a place worth traveling to.

Their beer selection is second to none in North Jersey. They have alot of microbrews in bottles and even a few good ones on tap. The bartenders are generally friendly and attentive.
Considering the dumpy surrounding neighborhood it is definitely a diamond in the rough.

Wasn't very easy to find the place but, once I did was glad to be there. Very friendly locals, decent beer selection (including my newest favorite "Smiddicks"). Had fish n chips that were pretty good. Missed the Irish music but plan to go back there to catch that as well as more beer.
