Stopped once again last November. Was happy to see a new menu featuring local suppliers. Good to see this place keeping up with the market. Keep it up!

Awesome! Awesome! Good Good Great
Natty Greene's is definitely the place to go in Greensboro to get great beer. They always brew five good core beers (Guilford Golden Ale, Natty's Pale Ale, Buckshot Amber Ale, Old Town Brown Ale, and General Stout). Their Old Town Brown Ale won the Silver Medal for English Brown Ales at the 2006 Great American Beer Festival (GABF). While Natty Greene's core beer are avaiable in bottles and at a number of other local establishments, nothing compares with drinking them from the tap at Natty's. They also brew a number of outstanding seasonal beers. I would recommend trying tasters of all of them. All of their beers are also available to take home in growlers. Thursdsy is currently $2 pint day. Although the beer is the best reason to go to Natty's, the food is great too. A wide variety of creative dishes and sandwiches are available.

Natty Greene's is now bottling several of their house beers for off-premise retail sales, and has tap outlets at some local places. The beer is quite good and the seasonal types can get creative. Had and enjoyed the rye ale. If you're in this area and looking for great bottled beer, go nearby to the Pipe and Pint on Spring Garden Road. Excellent variety of specialty brews from all over. Then go back to Natty's for another draft!

Stayed in Greensboro in 2006 for the Martinsville race. Visited Natty Greene's and RedOak. By far Natty Greene's had the better brews. Don't remember the specifics, but my husband and I liked all the beers we tried at Natty Greene's. We ate here one night and the food was quite good for a brewpub. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone going through Greensboro.

I feel Pubcrawler needs to expand the definitions because there are definitely stages between good and great. That being said, I think this place was generall more towards Great than Good. Five beers on tap, the seasonal was out (don't know what it was). We were there between lunch and dinner and service was fast and polite. The food choices include some very tasty sandwiches which went a little past run of the mill in bost type and taste. The beers included a golden, a pale ale, an amber, a brown ale, and a stout. All were acceptable. The pale had a nice hop aroma and taste, the brown was very tasty with subdued hops, but enough to keep the beer from being sweet, and the stout was well balanced dry style. Both amber and golden were fine for the style. I would definitely recommend a stop if in the area.

I was impressed with the whole ambiance of Natty Greenes Brew Pub. The wait staff were always smiling and were very attentive. The brewer, Scott, was very willing to talk about his beer. My favorite beer was the "Old Town Brown"! The food tasted fantasic and was reasonably priced. Props to the cooks!! All in all a great experiance.

We just stopped in on a first visit to Greensboro. We tried four of the house brews: the amber, Irish stout, brown, and an amber seasonal (Carolina Steamer). Though no sampler was available large sample glasses were very cheap. The amber and stout were nice renditions. The brown had a pleasant roasty note, but was sweeter than I expected (or prefer). The seasonal was kind of strange - smelled like apricot, lots of hop bitterness but very little hop flavor or aroma. Not a bad experience overall, a reasonable neighborhood place. (btw, don't miss the housemade potato chips).

If you will ask they will bring you samples of all beers. Use the Menu as a placemat to place the glasses on the beer types and descriptions. This place will only get better.

An oasis in the Piedmont Triangle desert. 6 beers (great Pale Ale, undistinguished Amber Ale), good food, slow but pleasant service, enjoyable bright decor.

This brewpub just opened. It is a large place with seating downstairs, upstairs and outside. A nice mural of what appears to be horse & buggy era Greensboro is on the dining room wall. The bar area seems small in proportion to the rest of the place. Six basic brewpub beer styles are brewed. No IPA which I thought was unusual. There were no offensive tastes. All are brewed true to style. Though, nothing edgy here. Individual samples are $1 ea. No all-inclusive sampler is available. Several other micros are on tap.

6 brews on tap along with 6 additional microbrews on tap. Well crafted beers. Not a bummer in the bunch.
