Food was good, service slow, smoke irritating, beer selection good, prices terrible. The bar atmosphere is your typical over 30 hipster-hippie bar for locals. The atmosphere was cliche and the prices jacked up. But if your an old hipster, without any responsibilities in life, you can spend all your money on overpriced beers without any problem.

Walked in expecting a nice place, it was a dimly lit small bar that was extremely smoky. I walked to the back room, empty except for the three "plaintive" looking tables. That was as far as I got. Left for cleaner waters.

This is an old favorite that I'd not been to in a long time. On my most recent trip, I was pleasantly surprised by a big step forward in the beer selection. 8 taps, 7 of which are of good quality (Beamish! SN Bigfoot!!). The kicker was a vastly expanded bottle selection of great stuff--I counted 60 or so to choose from. Michael (Owner/cook) told me he's hoping to get some more Belgians to round out the bottled line. Their food has always been great, from apps to my favorite, jambalaya. Great crab cakes too! Throw in some good music; the renowned Donald F Carn on violin and other acoustic acts, and you've got a nice stop if you're in the York area.
