Thought I'd give this place a bit more ink. They had 14 house brews on tap on this visit. Would have gone "awesome" on the quality but their Octoberfest was flat and tasteless. The IPA and stout made up for that. Food menu is a little lacking but the quality is there. Was there on a Saturday afternoon and the cyclists were there in abundance. The Albertsons is now gone but the place is easy to find. Just off Sir Francis Drake Blvd. on the downhill side of town.

Nice little place located a block off the busy Sir Francis Drake Blvd. They had 11 house brews on tap which is pretty good considering the size of the establishment. Went thru a pint each of Anne Marie's Amber(5.2%), Altman's Alt(4.5%) and Sless' Stimulating Stout(5.5%). Not a bad one in the trio. I'd imagine the other ones are equally as good. The food menu is a little limited but the Reuben I had was great. Some of the salads I noticed others having looked like a meal unto itself. Iron Springs feels like one of those places where locals and strangers can mingle well. The staff all seemed like they were enjoying working there which is a rarity nowadays. They have Happy Hours daily from 4-6 and 10pm 'til closing. Everyday seems to have specials and there's live music on Wed. evening. If you happen to be coming back from a day at Point Reyes N'tnl Seashore or Tomales Bay, pull off Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in Fairfax, find the Albertsons and head across the street to Iron Springs. You'll have a good time while having some really good beer.
