Great neighborhood bar with a dozen local microbrews on tap! Beer was fresh, lines were clean, and we were given samples before "committing" to a pint. Friendly staff and clientele. Had the steel-tip dart room all to ourselves. It will definitely be our first stop next time we're in the Asheville area!

Good So So Good Great Good
If you want to avoid any tourists, find this place. Out of the way, most are regulars (we were probably some of the rare tourists). We came at a bad time for draft beer ... more than half were empty! Decent bottle selection in a large, easily viewable cooler. BBQ was good ... Ed makes a huge range of sauces to put on his homemade BBQ.

Ruby's is a classic neighborhood bar worth the effort to find. About a dozen taps dispense a good assortment of craft beers, imports and some American lager. Bottle selections number at least fifty. On the horizon are cask imports. Under the same roof is Ed Boudreaux's Bar-B-Que, a local landmark. The bar area includes pool tables, dart boards and video games. Live music is offered several nights per week. In warm weather the front of the building opens up on a deck with outside tables, with another deck under construction in back. This place has been open for 18 months but a lot of people still don't know about it. Worth finding.

Ruby's is a cool place to hang out. Lot's of good beers. Decent staff. One bartender kinda acts like you're doing him a favor by being there. We'll be back.

excellent selection of hard to find European brews and nice selection of domestic microbrews, nice wine selection. live music several nights a week
