The Service is terrible if the server brings you the wrong order, you are at blame, because you did not except the wrong order. If you do not except the wrong order a guy named Scott will come to your table and scold you, and explain why the server and cooks are incompetent and that you were wrong to not except there incompetency. Most restaurants will apologize for the mistake in hopes that the customer will return, but not at Shakespeare Pub. , they feel it’s easier to replace their customers than to train their servers and cooks, and to send their customers away with a bad experience to remember and share with all their friends. My restaurant preference use to be Shakespeare Pub. But I not any more, I would not go there again even if they were giving the food and beverages away.

This is THE beer bar in town. Once you've tried the breweries in town you need to go here. They have 30 beers on tap. Every Tuesday night they run a special on a different microbrew. Sometimes the owners of the brewery are there, sometimes they give away free pint glass, sometimes it's just try a new micro for $2.50. What really impressed me was the time they supported a small microbrewery about 30 miles away by featuring them one Tuesday night. This place had bottled at one time but isn't currently. Shakespeare's had several growlers from the place on ice. Shakespeare's is very popular so expect a full house on Friday and Saturday night. There's a comedy club downstairs so it's a good place to plan your night if you're in Kalamazoo.
