A warm, inviting, comfortable, and classy joint. I dig the Capone-esque, bootlegger theme. I've been to Windy City several times now. The service has always been superb! I like the food menu's variety. Not too many choices and there's something for everyone. So far I've been about a fourth of the way through the menu and everything has been excellent. Not a single dissappointment. I especially like the French onion soup, calamari, fried perch, and Bleu Monster burger.
Awesome beer selection! Like the food menu, there are just the right number of options for me (too many, and I get a little swimmy-headed). Hardcore beer lovers will be happy for sure! Again, there's something for everyone. From strong ales (KWAK, Delirium Tremens, Chimay Blue and Red Cap, Duvel, La Fin du Monde) to tastey selections from world class domestic breweries (Dogfish Head, Great Lakes, Ska, Pyramid, New Belgium, etc) . Windy City has it going on bigtime! It's very quickly become my favorite resturaunt. Highly recommended!

Awesome interior! Great american grill fare. Located at 149th and LaGrange rd. This American grill calls the former Veranda address home. New owners have renovated the space, creating a contemporary dining room with woody accents and large black and white photographs from prohibition era Chicago. The menu offers steaks, seafood, pasta, entrĂ©e-sized salads and burgers, plus a kiddie menu. Thin-crust pizzas are a menu highlight – owners installed a wood-burning oven that's visible from the dining room. The bar has a beer focus with 20 beers on tap, plus 20 in a bottle. Bonus during frigid weather: There's a designated carryout area with parking; pull up and staffers will bring your food right to your car.
