I agree with Noel....The food was great, the service was great, the place LOOKS great, the atmosphere is pleasant.. BUT---the BEER? G.B. appears to have as its goal to brew 6 different styles of Bud Light! I am afraid they have forgotten about the many lovers of FINE BEER and HOPS and GOOD MALT, and instead, have chosen to cater to the American palate/mindset which dictates, "taste doesn't matter--it's the BUZZ that counts!"

For a brew pub G.B. seems to have it all...all except good beer. The place looks great, service was relatively quick and friendly. Not being from the area I can't speak to location, but it is on a corner, and I think that must be worth a few points; and it is in Virginia Beach, though a long way from the actual beach.
The fatal flaw at G.B. is the beer. All their own brew is light and pretty tasteless. I go to brew pubs for the beer and hope the food etc. is good. The G.B. brewer just can't seem to find any hops. A couple of lighter beers on one end of the scale is ok for those who don't care very much for beer to begin with, but for those of us who do like beer....well.....go somewhere else. This place ain't for us.
