Another one of those places I wish was`in my area. Closer to the airport than d'town Portland, the customers kept coming in despite it being a Friday afternoon. Can see why after trying a few pints. Seven regulars and three seasonals to go along with a full bar. Four IPAs including the '09 Ntnl IPA Challenge winner, the Workhorse IPA. Had the Free Range Red(organic), Lucky 7 IPA and the Spaced Stout. Excellence all around. The food menu mirrors the beer menu. The free-range chicken breast sandwich gave me a whole new appreciation of the phrase "tastes just like chicken". For entertainment you can sit at the bar and watch the crew back in the brewing area hard at work. And the smell of the place says, "great beer brewed here". Outdoor patio out back. Mechandise and 22ozers of the HopMonkey IPA and Free Range Red available as you exit full and very happy. Put it on your list.

This is a new Laurelwood establishment located only about half a mile from their other one. It appears to be much larger (the other one was closed when we went by). Their menu was varied and included both pub food and more upscale items. Service was top notch. Their beer offerings included a Workhorse IPA at 80 IBUs that gets top marks even by Oregon standards. The Boss IPA is a slightly milder version at 70 IBUs, 6.7% abv. Others included Mother Lode Golden Ale, Piston Pale, Tree Hugger Porter, and Space Stout. Food was of good quality and large quantity also. Didn't catch their operating hours, so you might want to check their website or call.
