The German-American Club of Albany is a quiet spot just around the corner from Central Avenue and Fuller Road tucked in an older Colonie neighborhood. It is the last original German Biergarten still in the Albany area.
Unfortunately they are only open one night a week on Wednesday from 7:30 PM till around 11:30 PM and presently don't serve food. However they do have excellent outdoor Summer events in the Biergarten!
The beer selection is not large at all, mainly 3 German drafts and some bottled imports. If you are looking for a quiet spot to try good German beer away from the busy, loud, and expensive downtown or Lark Street areas give this place a try. You also won't run into obnoxious college kids here.
The German bier is always fresh there. Stop by and don't be intimidated thinking that only German is spoken there. Everyone there speaks English.
