There are many great places in Asheville to drink beer but this is my favorite. Its a place for beer and friendly conversation. No distractions from food or fancy atmosphere. Just beer and really good beer. If you love beer then go. Try the IPA, the Wit.

The brewmeister at Wedge may be the best in the region. Beers are clean, full of flavor and tend to be very strong. No matter which brew you get you will find it to be an authentic representation of its style. I particularly like the Belgian ales and the pilsner.

In addition to great beers the atmosphere is pure Asheville. Its location in the funky River Arts district makes it a perfect place for new visitors to immerse themselves in the local culture. Once you are sufficiently refreshed, drive up the hill, park downtown and clear your head at one of the many restaurants.

Really good beer and a great place to hang out, especially on Friday evenings when it is packed. Lots of space and parking. Funky wrought iron sculptures around outside seating.

A new brewery located in the Arts district. Nice area for outdoor seating, no table service but beers are excellent and reasonable. Check their website for hours
