First time visit when I ducked in here for lunch. around 1:30 p.m. The place was not very crowded but there was several patrons at the bar. I was only able to try one beer with lunch so I opted for the "Eugene," which they describe as "a striking, robust porter full of warmth and chocolate malt(7.0% ABV)." They offered the Eugene from the tap or cask conditioned. I opted for the cask conditioned version and this proved to be a very good choice. This was a smooth and creamy beer that I had to slow down on so some would be left for when my lunch arrived. I had ordered a bacon burger and fries. This was very good pub food and the fries were fresh cut and very hot! There was also a good choice of beers with 6 guest taps besides the 8 other house brews on tap. They also had a large selection of well regarded craft brews in bottles. I will definitely have to go back and sample my way through the rest of the house offerings!

Went to Revolution this last Sat., what a treat! Even though they were very busy, the greeters and wait-staff were very friendly and willing to talk, they made you feel like they really wanted you to be there. All the beers I had seemed true to form(Willie/Scottish,Black Power/Stout,Bottom up Wit,Anti-Hero/IPA)and were of excellent quality and taste. I particularly liked the Wit, not overly heavy on the coriander and citrus, and the IPA had a great balance of flavor and hoppiness. About the food, simply THE BEST rib-eye I have ever tasted! You get a very generous portion and it was cooked perfectly. Enough fat was left on the meat for flavor, and the oxtail sauce was a perfect compliment to the meat in just the right amount. My wife had the fish and chips, the fish was tasty and cooked perfectly/not dry, and the frites(fries) were excellent. I could go on and on, but suffice to say we will definitely go back! Dave

Former Goose Island Brewers Josh Deth and Jim Cibak find themselves together again at Revolution Brewing. I went last Friday at four and I was lucky to get the very last seat at the bar. I tried three beers starting with the Belgian Wit called "Bottom Up". I could have drank several more of this very clean and tasty Belgian Wheat. Blue Moon drinkers will be very happy. Next I had the Scottish Wee Heavy called "Willie". It was extremely smokey and flavorful at 8%. My last beer was the English luncheon beer called "Workingman Mild". Not bad, but not exciting either. Revolution also brews a "Cross of Gold" golden ale which I did not try. They were out of both of their most popular beers, the "Iron Fist Pale Ale", and the "Anti-Hero IPA". Patrons at the bar assured me that both beers were awesome. Knowing Jim, there is no doubt im my mind that every beer here is going to be a winner. I did not eat, but the food looked and smelled delicious.
