Good Good Lousy So So So So
I was with Mickey Mulligan and the Travelers. The Food sucked. The corned beef and cabbage tasted like nothing. Our server kept complaining about how overworked she was. And Frank, that pain in the ass, threw us out because he said we were drinking too much. Let me see Frank. A bar tab of $146.00 divided by 8 people, that's about $18.00 each. I don't know about you Frank but I spend more that that when I take my family out to eat on an average night anywhere in Kansas City and that's without a bar tab. The bottomline here Frank is that your food sucks, the service sucked, and I have written all my friends in the Washington area and you can bet your last pound on the fact that none of them will ever come there again. Frank you are an anal rententive putz.

As a Brit living in DC for a year the 4Ps saved my life! It was as close to a pub (the way I understand a pub) that there is in the US. Great staff who I ended up being very good friends with (anyone know Jen Greco, Michael et al), some really good nights - will never forget it. Brilliant!

The 4P's has the best Guinness I've tasted outside if Ireland. The service is good. There is usually excellent live Irish music, which has the added bonus of keeping away the Britney Spear/Insync crowd.

Great Good So So Great Great
This is a large bar whose owners and employees hail from Ireland. Usually have a 2 man band, which, for some reason, they actually charge $cover charge! If you are not there for the darts or the silly music, you aren't missing much. But a good neighborhood bar which continuously is crowded despite the cover charge and has very large dart lanes. Dart League (TDI and WADA) shoots from there.

I really don't know what they have besides the creamiest Guinness in DC (Murphys too). I can't exactly remember the food, but there was some great music. Guinness will do that.
