Hey, what's the fuss? A good selection of beers, but not kept well and only a couple of cask conditioned. However, the food was inedible, the service less than acceptable and what was anticipated as a good evening (the pub was recommended by the people at Sam Adams) was cut short, the food left uneaten and the beer sipped and rejected and we moved on to somewhere more acceptable. (We ended up in Vinny T's, superb food and excellent beer). To add insult to injury, the waitress even expected us to pay for the disgusting slop she served as "dinner" - no thanks.

Here comes everybody...Doyle's is open to all: families, chowhounds, pub denizens, strangers & familiars. If you can't get on here, forget it. My local for about ten years - Jimmy Sullivan pours a great pint of porter. Tremont Ale is a local favorite. They have hand pump available as well. Always a good beer selection. If you're not up for a seissun, Sunday brunch is a great time to get acquainted with the place. The one place I tell everyone to visit when they're in Boston.

Exceptional atmosphere. The crowd is like-minded in their pursuit of neighborhood pub time. Laughter, families, friends, darts... what else do you need?

Every time I leave there something happens to me. I feel like there is someone chasing me and then BAM!!! Out of nowhere I rip my shirt off and fall asleep. I hooked up with some good cocaine there once too. Love, Robert Smelfy

Beyond Awesome? Please get out more. Mediocre selection, fine Irish bar atmosphere, interesting clientele, good desserts, Irish food (say no more)questionable cleanliness of beer lines.
