Had lunch the week before Christmas so the place was crowded. Still service was good. It has a good selection of Microbrews. We had a Troeg's Anniversary Special created for the Drafting Room. It was awesome. The food was exceptional. I had my usual hamburger but it was definitely not usual. I don't know if it was the roll or what but it was above average. My Significant Other had Mussels and they were winners. We both had fries which were good. Considering the food and beer, my Significant Other said this may be her new favorite place.

In my opinion, the most reliable beer bar in the Philly area, without question. Believe it or not, have never made it to Victory in Downingtown, since the Drafting Room is so much more convenient to the turnpike. I could never drive by the place without stopping, and once I'm there forget it. The place is freaking heaven for a serious beer connoisseur! The brews they get from Sierra alone are worth the trip. They've always got one or two gems that can't be found anywhere else in the state. Have had Pliny the Elder from Russian River on several occasions and it is almost impossible to find anywhere on the East Coast. And it's not just the draft selection that's fabulous, the bottled beers are unbelievable as well, particularly the large format, limited edition selection. Second to none in my experience. Not to mention outstanding food, and an ambience that you just don't want to leave. If they would open in Bucks County my wife would probably leave me. Actually she wouldn't have to, I'd be at the Drafting Room every night. Final note: If you've been to the Springhouse location, do yourself a favor and check out the original. There's no comparison.

This place has the best nachos in the area. The best. They are freaking amazing.
(This statement is based on my repeated visits over the years. The last time I was in, the nachos were a little overdone, but that was a first.)
They also feature a beer style of the month and various beers from that will be on tap. Sometimes they are rare beers or just off-the-beaten path enough that you've never tried them. And the rest of the beer menu is nicely, nicely done.
I wish they would go completely non-smoking, as many other places in the area have. It would make the cozy bar, which is perhaps the ideal place to quaff beer, completely perfect.
Oh, and if you like the beer, buy a growler and take it home. You won't regret it.

I've definitely waited too, too long to commend all the folks at the Drafting Room for the well deserved and well run send off to Tom Baker of Heavyweight. 15 Heavyweight selections were offered as one final blast for a true genius in the art of brewing. All beers were available in 5 and 10 oz. portions, with many available in pints also. Water was plentiful and highly encouraged for everyone at no cost. The beers (here goes!): Baltus, Biere D'Art, Black Ocean, BockBock, Cinderbock, Doug's Colonial, Ivy League, Jakeldricka on cask, Lunacy, barrel aged Old Salty 2005, Perkuno's Hammer, Slice of Bread, Ste've, Stickenjab, and Zizzy (whew!). And not a bum in the lot. To list my favorite would be impossible, but Black Ocean and Doug's both struck a chord with me, but then again, they all were great. Mega kudos to the staff which didn't miss a beat for a very needy and ravenous crowd. A super day!

Well Then... What a gem! Fantastic draught beer selection that even included a Cask beer (Victory Hop Devil at that).
The bottle selection was definitely guided towards the beer geek. I loved it.
Food was overall very very good. The menu would please the burger eaters and the finer dining folks.
I will definitely return...

Great beer selection, including cask. Regularly update the beer offering, and bring in seasonals and new choices. Food is excellent, with restaurant area separate from the bar, so you can come here with non-beer-drinking friends and SO's and they'll enjoy it too.

On rt. 100 north of rt. 30, en route to Turnpike. Sits in a small shopping center on the right side of a hill. I counted 14 taps and 1 cask and at least 120 good quality bottles on this visit. Lots of beer talk when I was there. A very tasty Lagunitas IPA was my treat of the day. Menu looked good, but I was just there for the beer (which looked better!).

The beer selection is great, although I wish they had Belgians on draft more often. The food is also great, although it's a little expensive for the quality.

I love this place. The dinner menu and specials are always inventive and always great, the draft beer selection has local favorites like Victory as well as beers from England, California.. Apart from one bad experience, the service is always outstanding as well. The server's recommendations on entree/beer combinations are always insightful: I never would have ordered crab and spinach dip, but the server talked us into it and it's great! If they have it, get a pint of Blue Bird Bitter.

It was pretty much how the previous reviewers said. It is a great beer bar that serves very good food. There aren't many non-standard (the usual suspects as they put it) drafts but the bottle selection more than picked up the slack.

A revision from our previous review...this has become one of our favorite restaurant/bars. The beer is always fresh, and beer selection is great with local micros and Belgians. They also have a great selection of bottled beers and scotches. We've eaten here many times and the food is excellent, from the burgers to their dinner selections. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable about their beers and menu.

Visited mid-June. Nice selection of import, local & micro drafts. Hop Devil on cask was suberb. The Mannekin Belgian white should have been in better condition, as it was very low in carbonation, nearly flat. Bartenders were very good, and exceptionally knowledgeable. Happy hour had 1.50 10oz drafts (except for Belgians).

Great selection of beers, both on tap and bottles. We didn't try the food, but the menu looked great -- maybe next time. The seating in the bar area could be better. Otherwise, we loved it.

Good diversity in beer selections with highlighting local breweries (Victory, Downingtown,PA). The quality of food is terrific, everything that I have ordered has been both visual and taste appealing. If you haven't visited, I recommend a night at the Drafting Room

Was there 12/8 & the thick blanket of cigarette smoke in the bar area prevented me from enjoying the fine selection of beers. Perhaps next time, I'll order an appetizer, just so I can sit in the restaurant area.

I've had nothing but great meals here, and of course, great beers, too! Can't resist the stellar Victory HopDevil Ale on the beer engine. Selection is fantastic with always a Belgian on tap.
