A must visit beer bar in NYC. They always have a very solid selection. I was a little disappointed they didn't have any cask selections when I was there, but overall a great place.

Unbelievable beer selection, and the decor is second to none. The crowd can be a little too yuppie-NYC, but this place is worth a pilgrimage.

Good cask ales. We had two English ales on cask, RCH Pitchfork and JHB. Both were in very good condition. Definitely worth visiting!!

The beer was great, but I was a little dissappointed. Their ad said they carry between 2 and 3 cast ales but they only had one when I went. I will go back for sure but I will not go back during their peak hours on Saturday. That was horrible. I was getting mobbed, how can you enjoy beer in that environment? But if you are in the area go by for a brew, at least the beer won't dissappoint you.

Stopped by for a beer on the way to my other NYC favs. What a treat. I was looking at the taps on the wall and was amazed. Then I saw the other half of the room. I had too many beers to list, and the food, although only sandwiches & salads, was awesome. Definately a place to go, and this will now be a stop on any NYC excursion.

My wife and I visited here on Saturday May 25. The last time we were here was about 2 years ago--that was my problem!! We must visit more often. Please discount our food rating we did not have lunch or dinner on this trip. This was stop# 1 of our NYC Pub Crawl. Chris(the manager) was very friendly even offered to help in chosing our beer based on what style we liked. Sue was our bartender and she was quick to respond to our needs and the rest of the bar. Good people, good beer and good service make for a great combo.

During my visit, while sipping superb Belgium brew, I flashed back to my brew tour of Belgium last spring. They offer so many classic delites, you just have to go, relax and enjoy.

This is the same review as seen below, this time with a menu in front of me. I had two casks "Yorkshire terrier bitter" and "Swale's Indian summer pale ale". Then an anchor small beer "made from spent foghorn grain". The prices on the menu state 4.25/13oz, 5.50/20oz, and 6.50 23oz wheat. I was tasting them with my sister while lounging in the back on big comfortable leather sofa. Cheers.

On a slow sunday night, bartender has time to talk and knew enough to be helpfull. Had two cask ales, and an ale made from Old Foghorns used mash. Great selection, needed to go back. Cask Pints were $7.00 each.

What a selection. Had Jever and Schnieder Weisse on tap plus two English ales on handpump. Food is good, but limited menu. Very crowded during happy hour during the week. Had to steal a beer menu to prove all the selections to my fellow beer lovers. A definite must stop!

66 beers on tap, are you kidding me? the best beer bar in the city, great atmosphere, great bartenders, and great food. My friends and I read over the beer list ten to twenty times over to be sure we reading correctly, it reads like a beautiful beer novel.

One of the best! Three of us went for the first time. We loved it so much we went back two more times during our three day trip. The most impressive aspect is the knowledge of the servers. We asked them dozens of beer questions about their selections and they knew everything including how one beer tased against another and so on. They told us they go through blind taste tests. They have 75 plus on tap and another 80 or so in bottles. We are Belgian fans and we got everything we wanted. Great crowd also and really nice homey, dark wood, pub atmosphere.

By far the best bar I have ever been to, anywhere. Awesome atmosphere, really comfortable and amazingly good looking and friendly crowd. I've pretty much stopped trying other places and go here all the time. With 66 beers on tap theres always something different to try. Awesome!

Best time for a beer enthusiast to visit is a Sat. or Sun. afternoon. The $3.75 13 oz, or $5 Imperial pints aren't painful to the wallet, and the sandwiches are reasonably priced and good. Obviously the taps are amazing -- name a style, they have a winner. And the casks are back for the fall! Except for the cigar prevalence, and the very busy bartenders, what's not to like?

Beers are inexpensive, given its location. Food is a little too fancy; sometimes a guy just wants a hamburger.

This is what a beer bar should be (except for the food). Incredible selection, knowledgable staff, great atmosphere. Go with the 13 oz. glasses instead of pints so you can try even more of their nearly 70 taps.
