The thing about Murph's is that it's not venilated well. Chris Barnes could easily knock out a few windows that open up at top and let his non-smoking, non-deep fried clients breath. And how about a smile from the bartender once in a while?

To much smoke. I'm used to CA bars (no smoking allowed) and have been in many in other states but I noticed my cloths smelled of heavy smoke after visiting this place. I didn't try the food but the service and live entertainment was great......

You have to love all of the stouts! Throw some darts and enjoy the dark mother's milk from Dublin.

Great atmosphere. The beer selection is good, but with three Irish Stouts on tap sometimes it feels like other beers get short shrift, but this is an Irish bar afterall! The high ceilings help, but the place can get pretty smoky. Food is o.k., but tends to be greasy.

Excellent Irish Pub especially for stout drinkers(Guiness, Beamish, Murphy's). The high ceiling offers air circulation for you non-smokers too. The fireplace also makes it intimate. The artichoke-jalapeno dip is unique and excellent. I've also seen swing dancing some weekends, but there really isn't much room for it.

Great Irish pub. Best reuben sandwich in town. For you vegans, order the secret garden burger and chase it down with a Beamish and you'll be one happy camper.

Another good Irish bar. Close to the U district. I recommend a pint of Guiness to go with the fish & chips. Always a good meal here
