This place has very good standard Tex-Mex food at a more than reasonable price (especially in Arlington). The salsa served with the obligatory chips is tremendous, as are the chips for that matter (served hot). But try not to fill up on them, because the food is great. Get a side of guacomole, it's very good. The beer selection is so-so (I always get the Foggy Bottom Ale), but it's very fresh, cold and very cheap for Arlington/D.C. The service is very good, the atmosphere is, I would say, comfortable, kind of like having dinner in your basement.

If I were stuck on an island this would be the only food I would want for sustenance. Be sure to get the Monterrey Platter, it's not on the menu, but all Santa Fe insiders know about it...and rave about it. For a change of pace go there at night where you will be wined and dined by candle light. There's not enough thumbs in the room to express how good this place really is.

The salsa at Santa Fe is incomparable, it's like drinking gazpacho soup! The tres tacos con pollo and Mexican snack are head and shoulders above the competition. It's riveting...

Three taps: one macro, one Mexican and one micro. They serve the beer in a paper cup. Need I say more? Good selection of bottles in the fridge - but you can get the same stuff for less across the street in the Safeway. There are far better places to stop for dinner in this area.

More of a family restaurant than a beer bar, but great beer selection, excellent yet inexpensive Mexican food, and friendly wait staff. Definitely worth a visit for dinner before heading out to the more raging microbrew bars. Say hi to Kip; he'll remember you forever!
