I was pleasantly surprised. They had nine beers on tap and I liked every one of them. It helped that 4 of them were hoppy beers. The seasonal barleywine, called Hopsquatch, was well named and a true hop monster. Even their "mass market" weakest offering called Fool's Gold had some character. The brewmaster here gets it. The food was a touch above the average pub grub, as was the service.

I visited this place on a 3 week, 13 brewery tour to Cali. The Hop Knot ale is just what you want on a hot, dry day in the desert. We had the sampler. The scene and the outdoor patio makes this place a great place to lose track of time.

Stopped in late on a Friday night. It was louder than I would have preferred, but to be expected at that time, given the college crowd. Had a pale ale and an amber. Both were full of flavor and rate as excellent. The waitress was knowledgable. Had a bowl of soup which was good. I would love to visit on a quiet afternoon and sit on the patio.

First and foremost, the beer was pretty damn good. The Kiltlifter is their most popular brew, but not the best beer they make. Place can get crowded, but service remains pretty good. Only had appetizers, but they were pretty good as well. Hard to get to and find parking.

Excellent beer at an excellent establishment. This is a great place to go watch a game and hang out with friends. The crowd is lively, mostly ASU students. I would recommend every beer, except...the Peach Ale. It's super sweet, not what I'm looking for in a beer - even a fruit beer. All the others have excellent body and flavor. You should definitely visit if you are in the area.

When I lived in Phoenix, I lived at Four Peaks. I miss this place terribly! Every beer is exceptional. I miss the Peach Ale and Kiltlifter!! The atmosphere here is terrific, you can kill a day sitting outside drinking beer here and the food is wonderful- try to Arizona Chicken Rolls! Will be back for the Arizona Beer Festival and I can't wait to head back to Four Peaks.

Lucky me-I got to go here twice in 3 weeks. The beers are still top-notch, especially the Hop Knot and IPA. The cask Pale Ale was particularly tasty.
The food is excellent and not typical brew-pub fare-check out the specials.
4 Peaks continues with their consistent quality of beer, especially considering that they are now bottling beer and have opened a second 4 Peaks in Scottsdale. Keep up the great work.

Probably my second favorite place in Arizona. The beers are somewhat inconsistent but are generally pretty good. Atmosphere is good, in a big old warehouse. I like this place more for the food though. Their chef makes daily specials that are really good, good burgers and wraps also. Waitresses are cute but not the most beer knowledgeable but the bartenders know more about the beers.

We're often here after work for beer o'clock. The food is only okay. Great beers. Good place to hang out. Not airconditioned unless you head up to the one up in Scottsdale.

When in Tempe and in doubt go to 4-peaks. Their beers are always top-notch, always a great selection (Their IPA is one of the best), and their food is always great--watch out for their special menue....always something new and exciting. One thing though....don't sell me a beer at 12:55 and expect me to hand it back at 1:05.

I stopped by here after an Arena Football game to have dinner. I really liked the Kiltlifter. Also the bartender that night was friendly and knowledgable. Plus he would talk sports whenever he had a moment. I highly reccommend 4 Peaks.

Barleywine on cask-wow. My first and last beer of the night. Well done
IPA-still very nice
Kiltlifter-seemed better than ever
Hop Knot-for the hop head but very drinkable.
These guys just keep on kickin' out the great brews. Best brewpub in AZ.

Of the 15 nights that my wife and I spent in Scottsdale; 5 nights found us sitting outside on the porch; a heater keeping us warm; and some very good ales keeping us happy. We both thoroughly enjoyed the IPA; it was hoppy enough to please any hop-head. But the products that impressed me the most were the cask-conditioned ales. Totally first class; among the finest I've had the opportunity to enjoy anywhere. We also enjoyed the laid-back style here; it kind of reminded me of back home in Madison. Oh, the food? Very good. Can't wait to return next winter.

This cavernous place was packed on a Friday night, but the mostly college crowd was fairly tame. My 9-beer sampler was only $7, and my dinner was even cheaper than that! Excluding the Gold and Kolsch, the other 7 beers were at least above average. My favorites were the Cask IPA and Oatmeal Stout, which were very drinkable. The food and service were excellent. Do yourself a favor and drop by for a pint and a bite to eat.
