Nice place! It has the feel of a neighborhood bar. I had a pale and a red both were very tasty. I wish I would've had more time to spend here.

I'm a big fan of Green Mill (note that the St. Paul location is the only one that brews beer). I get a sampler almost every time I go there, and although the beers aren't the best in the world, they steadily hold up to repeat tastings. The real strength of this place is their seasonal brews. The pumpkin ale and spiced winter beer are two offerings in particular that are uniquely welcoming. Beer geeks may have a harder time with the brews than others, but I have a lot of nostalgia for this place, and I feel it's an essential stop when doing a Twin Cities brewpub tour.

The Special Pale Ale seasonal would satisfy the MGD drinker and not anyone else. Seemed like only ones in the place were off-duty employees. And the one working didn't want to be there. $4.75 for a pint seemed a little excessive.

I've been to a few different Green Mills and at everyone of them I've never had a good beer. The Green Mill Beers always seem flat and flavorless. I will NEVER go back.

10 years ago the Mill made the best pizza in the Cities. The quality control is gone now, you simply never know what you are going to get. The beers have never been distinct or robust, the Amber and Gold are the best of a very mediocre field. Overall, probably the worst brew pub in the Cities.

Very good beers in cozy neighborhood bar kind of place. They snuck an August Schell Maibock into their lineup of house beer samplers. Canadian style lager was true to style, all 6 beers were tasty and well conditioned with good color, clarity and balance.

The oatmeal stout wasn't worth including in the sampler pack. The Amber Lager was the best of the standards. Both of the seasonals were fine.

This is primarily a local tavern that brews beer as an afterthought. If you want generic beer brewed in small batches, this is your place.

The Green Mill brews basically suck but the one near me has a few other micros on tap, notably Goose Island Honker's Ale (mmmmmm!) Oh my God, the ribs are incredible!!!

The food is great but the ales seem to lack definition, never quite the same from visit to visit.

Green Mill is a terrific place to eat (esp. pizza). It is lousy place to drink--it doesn't much matter that a brewpub makes several styles if they all taste similarly washed out.

This brewpub now goes by the name of Green Mill Brewing. A good selection of beers but nothing outstanding.

Even though I preferred the beer at Sherlock's Home, I found the Millstreet to be a far friendlier place. When I lived in Minnesota it was the brewpub I visited most. The generous happy hour certainly helped!

On all three visits the beer was lousy--seems like they brew one weak "light-beer-style" brew and add flavoring or colors to make all beers. Won't be going back...
