My wife, my son and I stopped here for dinner a couple of weeks ago. The beer selection is first rate and those we ordered on draft were fresh and very nice. The specials on the menu were interesting and the food was well prepared. On the whole well worth the visit.

Comfortable, nice place with pay parking just behind their corner location. 11 taps aand 1 cask (Starr Hill Porter) on this trip. Some good choices: Chimay White and Red Nectar among my faves. 50+ bottles with 15-20 Belgian or Belgian style. Brief, but eclectic menu. A good place to visit.

Nice place, above average tap selection, quality of the beer (Lagunitas IPA) was good, and the duck potpie I had was real good. Only quibble: the bruschetta I ordered said 'feta' on the menu, and I got some kind of herbed cheese spread on it. Not bad, but not feta. Otherwise, real nice, cozy, relaxed, friendly.

In response to the comment made by John from Durham, NC, I don't know where you got this "information" but it is simply not true that the beer lines run outside the building at Michael's Bistro. As a regular customer, I know for a fact that the beer lines at the bistro are cleaned frequently and the beer is always fresh and wonderful. The food is also excellent.

Michael's has the best outdoor drinking in Cville with a balcony overlooking the Corner. The rotating beer selection is outstanding, and the food is surprisingly sophisticated and good for the price. Nice atmosphere and music.

Overpriced and they don't take care of the beer -- they run beerlines *outside* the building. You'd be much better off going to the Mellow Mushroom down the street.

Michael's may be the perfect pub. The beer menu (about 12 on tap, always including one cask-conditioned, and 40 bottles) changes constantly, and focuses on American micros from breweries like Rogue, Old Dominion, and Pyramid. The food is very good, making it a fine lunch or dinner spot, and the weekday live music keeps the place lively every night.
