If I'm in Prescott, I gotta stop by the PBC. The IPA is always great, but while it wasn't as good as usual, it was still great. The bartenders and service was awsome. The smoked prime rib was to die for! I stayed so long drinking their IPA and BSing with the other beer drinkers that I got a ticket. WTF!? That is enough to put Prescott on my boycott list along with California and Tempe.

Beer was not so good. Selection was also poor. They only had four beers on tap, and 2 of those were Pale Ales. I really like a good Pale Ale, just not these 2!
Bartender was very nice, in fact every one I talked to in Flagstaff was very Nice. A very pleasant town. Just don't go there for the beer.

The Walnut Brown Ale was good, but not great. The bar is small and very loud.

Stopped in on a Sunday Afternoon for lunch while vacationing in the area. Started off with the Willow Wheat which was absolutely terrible! It had an awful skunky aftertaste. Then tried a sampler rack (without the wheat) and was pleasantly surprised that most of the others were very good. The light was bland but the pale ale, IPA and porter all had good flavor and aftertaste. The food was good, nothing exceptional. And the service was also fairly good. Would go back if in the area again.

I stop in every time I'm in town. The Pine Tar Stout had good flavor, smooth taste and finish like a milk stout, although the owner said it wasn't a milk. Prescott Palr Ale was somewhat bland in taste, little body and little hoppiness. Dubbel-a-tion had a strong taste (marzen/amber) and a surprising finish. My all-time favorite is always the Pertified Porter. Can't go wrong with that one if you enjoy dark beers.

I tried all the beers as well as the seasonal ones. Samplers of course! The colors were good but I felt like I was drinking colored water. Very little malt flavor in anything and I think they forgot the hops in most of them. Not worth the stop. Food was nothing to write home about either

Start with the great; Service. We got great service. Wonderful location. The food was also very good. Now the Beer... IPA Good, nice floral aroma, but not a whole lot of bite. If you're a hop-head it won't be up to par. That said it is better that a lot of IPAs I have had. Amber: light crisp taste, don't let the darker color fool you, pretty decent beer. Would I go back? Yep.

WOW, whata town, the wife and I stopped through to sample the beers and enjoyed the brewery and town so much we had to stay an extra night. Stayed at the St. Michael across the street, very cool 100-year-old hotel. As for Prescott Brewery the beers were very clean and right on style. The head brewer, Jan, was very tentative, yaked to us for at least ½ hour. The food was also very good and reasonable. Great happy hour $2 pints. Also gotta go to the Palace Bar across the street. It’s more like a museum then bar.

Absolutely FIRST RATE!
The pilsner is right on the mark - my friends Hans & Willy (pronouced 'Villy') would be pleased. The IPA is just right - not overly hopped but assertve. I had a "Burmeister Burger" for lunch and it was huge - too big for lunch, but too good to put down. Worth a stop? YOU BET!

Funkel Dunkel - 8.5. Very interesting profile. Strong hop aroma and overall a really good beer.
ESB - 7. This beer had a good floral aroma, which is good, but uncharacteristic of the style. Not much bitter going on in this extra special bitter. It would be a good pale ale.
Porter - 9. Very good. Smooth and rich. Just a solid beer.
Christmas Ale - 8. Well spiced, better than the last time I tried this. (Last time it was way too spiced)
Brown - 8. Really good, though it had a little too much hop and a little too sweet for the style. But a good beer none the less.
IPA - 9.5. VERY good. Well hopped and not too bitter. If you have one choice when you got to Prescott, this is the one to get.

Always a busy place, especially on a Saturday night, but we were seated quickly. Buffalo burger was okay, but the chicken pasta was delicious! We tried 4 beers that night: Walnut Brown Ale surpassed most browns we've had before; Ponderosa IPA was as good as ever; Petrified Porter was very dark, flavorful, and well bodied like a stout; Liquid Amber much like a typical amber (maybe Alaskan?). Really, you can't go wrong visiting this brewpub.

I really enjoyed it here. I tried 8 of the 9 beers that they had on tap over the three trips in two days that I made there and couldn't complain about any of them. I esepecially enjoyed the pale ale, but the others were true to style and very drinkable. Happy hour daily from 4-6 was a great deal for $2 pints. The food was excellent and the service was very good overall with one small hiccup from a waitress who was telling anyone that would list that she had given her notice. The atmosphere is interesting since it sits on the ground floor of a mini-mall located on the main street of town. part of the bar/restaurant seating is in a roped off area in the mall area across from several shops. The best beer atmosphere is in the bar area where the smoke was actually tolerable. Definitely a must stop if you are in the area and even worth the drive up if you aren't. a top tenner for me.

Spent a couple of hours here a few years back and somehow forgot to leave a review. Drove up from The Valley one afternoon specifically to sample the brews. The Nutbrown was exquisite! But what I remember most was the atmosphere. I arrived around 3 on a weekday and although the place was teeming with other tourists like myself, I immediately was made to feel very welcome by the staff. After bellying up to the bar and chatting with some of the locals while downing a few pints, I left feeling like a regular...and I definitely want to go back next month when visiting AZ.

I have been going to Prescott Brewing for a number of years. It is sad to see the slow decline taking place there. At least the beer quality is remianing mostly the same. Food quality is really disappointing. Better choices would be Oak Creek brewing in Sedona or Beaver Street brewing in Flagstaff.

PBC has always been one of Arizona's best, and this time was no different. Great food and beer. Just go and see for yourself! The server had an 'off' day today, I'm hoping, but otherwise I couldn't complain at all about anything. I love this place.

Great Food. Great Beer. Great atmosphere and service. The only place to go in Prescott. The IPA was as good as you will find anywhere. The Nut Brown was also top of the line. Highly recommend. One of best 5 brewpubs I have been to in the United States.

I was there with 3 co-workers. I asked the waiter if they had a cask-conditioned beer-he said "what's that?" I told him to go ask his brewmaster. Not a great start! (they had no cask ales).
I did have several beers though. IPA-very dry, hoppy, lighter style. Nice.
Brown Ale-full flavored, good head, true to style.
Porter-very good, full bodied.
Overall very good beer. Definitely would go back.

Stopped while passing through Prescott. I had the Pale Ale, followed by the IPA. While both are very good, the IPA is outstanding...everything I expect in a world-class IPA. I didn't eat, just drank, but others in my party said the food was good. The server was knowledgable about the beers, pleasant, and able to see an empty glass in a crowded room. This is obviously the place to go, as it was packed on a Monday night at 7pm. Mostly college crowd, all having fun. I highly recommend this place if you're anywhere nearby.
