I have been a customer of Murphy's for some years now and have had over hundred meals with these good folks. They've always been pleasant, very professional, prompt, accomodating and very good at what they do. Murphy's prime rib and salmon dishes are standouts to me, but there is much more on the menu to enjoy. And for those like myself who enjoy such things, the selection of wines is very well chosen and reasonably priced. The beer and ale selection is simply extrodinary: Something for every taste. All of that on top of a genuine old world atmosphere makes Murphy's one of my most favorite and reliably good dining experiences.

Our party of 6 walked in around 4:15 p.m. and asked to be seated for dinner. They asked if we had reservations and we responded that we did not. Instead of telling us that they were full, they offered us a table if we could 'get out in two hours.' We felt very put out by the time limit despite that we knew there was no way we'd need two hours to eat dinner. We agreed to 'be out in two hours' and yet, they must have mentioned it about 4 more times. We felt very unwelcome and rushed despite that we still really didn't need a whole two hours to eat. In addition, once we placed our order, the food came incredibly fast and if they knew they had such fast service, we really didn't understand why they'd need to make such a production about having to have us out in two hours. It was just a ridiculous situation overall, in our opinion. On top of that, the food was only average. Five of our plates looked almost identical despite that we ordered different entrees. That is, we all got exactly the same little pile of steamed veggies and mashed potatoes. We will not return.
