Quick update: I stopped by the Cricket yesterday [8/31] and was pleased to discover they've got Stone's superb IPA on tap! Of course, I availed myself of several pints and also appreciated the improvement in the bar's air quality since the imposition of Colorado's smoking ban on July 1. The smoke used to be heavy in there....

FAIR WARNING I ate at the Cherry Cricket yesterday. Ordered the usual, 1/2 lb cricket burger. Two hours later I was bed ridden because of food poisoning. After a trip to the local ER it was confirmed. E. Coli contamination. As a firefighter on the west end of town, all 82 members are well aware of this situation and will never eat here again. So on top of bloody vomit and bloody stools, I can honestly say myself and 82 members of a certain fire house will not be attending for the food ever, ever again. Thanks Cherry Cricket for the body aches,dry mouth,abdominal cramping,headache,tingling extrimities and bloody vomit/stool!

If this establishment started fire, I'd watch it burn.

Great dive bar in the middle of an upscale neighborhood. Was pleasantly surprised to see Arrogant Bastard, even if it was in bottle. Good place to kill a few hours between a wedding ceremony and a rehersal.

Classic example of a fun dive. Great beer selection. Lots of TVs for sports. Great place to hang out and wash down a great burger with a Boddingtons or Sierra. If I lived closer I would be here all the time. Who needs fancy when comfort is better. Too bad everyone local knows about it.

A solid operation which has been satisfying the palates of this Cherry Creek neighborhood long before it becaame an "end destination" for the art, fashion, and the "SUV-McMansion" crowd. The CC is still your classic "neighborhood joint" and they make you feel at home. Good cross section of Colorado micros; on my last visit, I was introduced to Great Divides' most excellent "Maverick IPA." I'm told the food is good here, too [giant burgers are the specialty] but I'll have to check out the menu on a later trip. At my age, I have to choose between beer and food and well, you know where the priorities lie.....

I was at the Cherry Cricket one night coming back from the Roobar (an excellent establishment) when we stopped in for drinks and these girls at the bar started flirting with us. 1/2 hour later the barkeep kicked us out - JEALOUS.
