We recently dined at the Fort Collins location of Woody's Wood Fire Pizza. We did not have a pleasant experience, in fact the service was quite poor. We arrived on a Sunday around 1:45 p.m. and there was no one at the host stand to greet us. Finally, a male server came to the stand and asked us where we would like to sit. When we indicated the bar area, he handed us menus and told us to sit at the bar booth closest to the door. In the booth immediately next to us, several employees were gathered, rolling silverware and drinking/talking loudly. When the bartender (Megan) came to the table, she immediately asked us if we were ready to order (all of our party was not even at the table yet). We ordered the all you can eat bar, however, Megan failed to bus dishes at all while we were eating. She asked us once if we were doing O.K., and when we told her "yes," she brought the check (we still had full plates and beers). She did not respond when we said thank you for the check. I'm not sure why she was so sullen to our table, as several bar customers arrived while we were eating and she greeted them by name and was quite pleasant to them. I also saw several employees (still in uniform!) help themselves to food from the buffet and greet customers while eating food. The poor service and lack luster food are the reason why we will not visit Woody's again. As someone who worked for years in food service, I know that our experience is unacceptable and could have been easily prevented.
(I WOULD have sent this comment directly to Woody's but the email address listed on their web site is bogus.)
